posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
What was it like to eat dinner with one of the most important figures in manga history? Osamu Tezuka's former assistant Akio Hotta released his book discussing that formative period on April 10. Tezuka Osamu Assistant no Shokutaku (Osamu Tezuka Assistant's Table) looks back at what Tezuka's team of assistants were eating and their work habits alongside other adventures like the treasures they discovered while cleaning up the office and interactions with Tezuka himself.
The book includes photographs and a round-table discussion with Tezuka's former assistants.
Tezuka was a prolific manga creator with works that expanded into every genre and audience demographic. Some of his best known works include Astro Boy, Princess Knight, Dororo, Black Jack, Jungle Emperor Leo, Phoenix, and Unico.
