5 Centimeters Per Second (movie)
Ah! My Goddess: The Movie
Ai Yori Aoshi (TV) Good (dub), Very good (sub) One of the very first anime series I saw, and still one of my favorites. I personally wished it focused more on Aoi and Kaoru and not so much the harem aspect and tropes, but the moments you get with those two characters make it worth seeing. I preferred the sub over the dub myself, but the dub wasn't too bad.
Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ (TV) Decent Being a big fan of the original series, no way was I going to miss seeing this. It had its enjoyable moments, but still not enough focus on Aoi and Kaoru. My biggest problem with the series is that it didn't wrap anything up regarding their relationship, which is what I wanted most. Watching this wasn't a waste of my time, but someone who was "meh" on the original series probably wouldn't like this one much. If you want a resolution to Aoi and Kaoru's relationship, read the manga.
Air (TV) Not really good Something about this show just didn't sit right with me. It's such an emotional story, I saw that, but I couldn't make that connection to the characters. Like Kanon, I think the characters acted too immature. Or perhaps it was all too melodramatic for my tastes. Or maybe I'm immune to the moe influence. I don't know. :P

Attack on Titan (TV) Excellent Absolutely worthy of all the praise showered upon it. Can't wait to see more!
Blood-C (TV) Decent I'm not really sure what to think of this series. Started out infuriating, got somewhat interesting when major events started happening, got infuriating again, then just totally blew/overloaded my mind at the end. Last episode left me feeling a bit disturbed afterwards, like how I felt after the last episode of School Days. Will probably watch the movie, simply because I'm already invested in the series, but this is definitely a "your mileage may vary" series. It may help not to take events very seriously, even though the show tries to do so.
Blue Spring Ride (TV) Good
Bokura ga Ita (TV) Decent
Bunny Drop (TV) Masterpiece
Cardcaptor Sakura (TV) Good Watched the entire TV show after reading the manga, which is still one of my favorite manga series ever. I'd imagine that unless you're a big fan of the manga like me, this TV show might be a bit of a drag. It does run 70 episodes, and most of that is your typical "monster of the week" stuff with a few story arcs thrown in. I did find the second season (episodes 47-70) to be more interesting than the first season. I'd suggest reading the manga first before trying the TV series.

Cowboy Bebop: The Movie
Danganronpa The Animation (TV) Good Definitely feels like a rushed adaptation of a game (which it is), and the mysteries are either stupid easy or unsolvable until the last second, but the overarching story and mystery behind the school, along with Monokuma, is still quite entertaining. If they adapted the second game, I'd definitely watch it.

Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku (special)
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (movie) Very good This movie is about 80% fanservice, but since I was one of the weirdos who liked DBZ for the characters rather than the action, this was right up my alley.

Eden of the East: The King of Eden (movie) Very good
Escaflowne: The Movie Decent There was enough in the movie to get me interested in seeing the series, but the movie on its own felt really...fragmented. There are a lot of characters that I know are a large part of the series but are just an afterthought in the film, and the story jumps all over the place. It's good as an addition to the TV series, I think, but kind of weak on its own.
Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone (movie) Good

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo (TV) Very good A very interesting adaptation of Alexandre Dumas's well-known novel. The art style was quite unique; took a little getting used to at first, but I very much enjoyed it. As for the story, I wasn't really drawn in until about the third DVD, and some of the mech elements in the last few episodes threw me off a bit. Overall though, this is a great series that any anime fan should at least try.

Kanon (TV 2/2006) Not really good I really liked CLANNAD, and it was my first Key series, so I thought I might enjoy this. Turns out I didn't. It felt to me as if Kanon was demanding that I feel sorry for these girls, and I just couldn't go along with it. Maybe it's how immature they all act, especially Ayu. I didn't particularly find any of these characters cute or endearing. The only arc that drew a tear from me was Makoto's. Other than that, as I kept watching, I felt as if I was forcing myself to finish it.
Ki*Me*Ra (OAV) Worst ever ...Trust me on this, you don't need to see this piece of crap. That's all I'm saying. =P
Kick-Heart (movie) Very good
Kiki's Delivery Service (movie)
Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren (movie segment)
Kino's Journey (TV)
Kite (OAV) Good Watched the Media Blasters dub and R-rated cut after hearing Justin recommend it in the 2010 ANNCast Holiday Special... Was really glad I did. The movie stands up on its own with the sex/rape only implied, having to actually see it would have been too much (for me, at least). The ending is infuriating (in that I hate cliffhangers like that), but I enjoyed the movie overall.
Koi Kaze (TV) Good
Kyō, Koi o Hajimemasu (OAV)
Last Exile (TV) Decent
Leave it to Kero! Theatrical Version (movie)
Level E (TV) Very good It's so infuriating yet so hilarious when a series trolls the hell out of you. This one certainly does that. The beginning and ending arcs of the series are the highlights for me. I did stop watching for an extended period of time around episode 7, but even so, the stories, characters, and especially the prince's exploits make this worth watching.

Ouran High School Host Club (TV) Excellent (dub & sub) One of those series that, once you start watching, it's hard to put down. I loved the characters, the story, the humor...hell, I loved everything about Ouran! I watched half with subtitles and half with the dub (due to watching the second half of the show on Netflix Instant Watch), and while it took a while for the dub actors to grow on me, I love both the Japanese and English language versions equally!
Outlaw Star (TV)
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (TV) Very good This show contains crude, explicit, and sexual humor mashed in with a cartoon style reminiscent of "Dexter's Laboratory," "Powerpuff Girls," and other older Cartoon Network shows. I actually really liked this series, because I took it at face value: Something where I could simply turn off my brain and just kick back and enjoy. Then again, I used to like stuff like "Rocko's Modern Life" and "Ren & Stimpy," so this show was right up my alley. =P
Paprika (movie)
Paradise Kiss (TV)
Paranoia Agent (TV)
Penguindrum (TV) Excellent It's rather hard to describe what "kind" of show this is. Even so, it was still very engaging and kept me on my toes with questions and revelations at every turn. I can see now why people talk up Ikuhara's works so much. Definitely looking forward to a rewatch of this in the future!
Perfect Blue (movie) Masterpiece The movie that made me an anime fan, and proves that animation isn't just a children's medium. As many times as I've seen this movie, there are still facets of it that I don't completely understand, but I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

Pokémon: The First Movie (movie 1)
Pom Poko (movie) So-so With Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli films, you almost expect there to be some sort of pro-environmental message, and I knew that Pom Poko had one when I started watching it. I enjoyed the film in the beginning, but after a while, I felt like I was repeatedly being beat over the head with its message and it became tedious as a result. I can see the emotional pull in this movie, but the overbearing message personally ruined it for me.
Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (movie) Good Was a bit disappointing, considering the caliber of most of the movies that come out of Studio Ghibli, but being a story Miyazaki made for his kids, it was still entertaining. I'd recommend it to anyone new to anime, and especially to my friends with children, but to an anime fan, this wasn't near as engaging or as deep as Miyazaki's other works.

Read or Die (OAV) Good Good OVA, definitely got me interested in tracking down a copy of the TV show DVDs. Thought it got a bit fanservice-y at times (Miss Deep...really??), but it had an engaging storyline and characters. I would love to see more of this universe. :)
Red Garden (TV)
Romeo × Juliet (TV) Very good A very nice adaptation of the familiar Shakespeare play. (with him even thrown in as a character!) I loved the characters and the story was very entertaining considering that most everyone knows how it ends. Despite that, the animation quality took extremely noticeable dives in the last half of the show, and a ton of loose ends were left dangling. I still really love this series, but its flaws are quite noticeable.

Say "I love you." (TV) Good
School Days (TV) So-so I'm only rating this as high as I am is because of the ending, which, due to all the hype, was the only reason I watched the series. I wasn't too enamored with the series as a whole, because it felt like a teenage soap opera with no deep characterization. I'm the rare female who doesn't like soap operas, so SD didn't really appeal to me. That ending though...hoo boy.

Sword Art Online (TV) Not really good First 14 episodes were kind of good, even if the interesting virtual MMO story elements were thrown by the wayside in the first few episodes. 15 on, however, was an exercise in patience. All the overdone anime plot devices (the "I'm in love with my brother who isn't really my brother" side-plot and some of the things that Asuna's character went through) gave the series a very distateful feel to me.

Umineko - When They Cry (TV) Decent Being a big fan of the original Umineko sound novels by 07th Expansion (and the Higurashi series/sound novels), I think I set my expectations too high for this. I wouldn't say that DEEN butchered the story of Umineko, but I definitely think important scenes were cut in favor of ones that didn't need expansion. Also, the overall pacing was really off and some EXTREMELY unnecessary fanservice was thrown in where it didn't belong. I kind of enjoyed this, but I imagine that's just because I like the sound novels so much.
PS: I HIGHLY recommend reading the sound novels, especially since they've been completely translated to English!
Un-Go (TV) Good
(The) Vision of Escaflowne (TV) Excellent
WATAMOTE (TV) Very good I identified with a whole lot of what Tomoko goes through here, and it made the show an intoxicating mix of hilariously entertaining and soul-crushingly depressing.
When They Cry - Higurashi (TV) Very good (dub), Excellent (sub) One of my favorite anime series. This show literally grabbed me by the neck and didn't let go until I'd seen all there was to see of Higurashi. It is an ingenious mix of Japanese and moe tropes, and deep suspense and horror. Definitely worth seeing.
