11eyes (TV) Awful Oh god... so terrible... this would be the worst anime I've ever seen if it weren't for Simoun. If you, god forbid, don't hate Simoun as much as I do, you'll probably hate this more. Fuck this show and its stupid characters. 11eyes is the culmination of every trope known to anime, and is not done justice by this brief statement on its behalf.
Accel World (TV) Ha ha. Hey guys, anime.
Angelic Layer (TV)
anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (TV) Worst ever Yeah, this show isn't very good. In attempt to offset this being the "5th best" anime on ANN I have decided to give it the lowest score possible. The show, endearingly referred to as "Dat Flower," is basically a whole bunch of angsty bullshit lacking any substance. Every character thinks his or her life sucks because he or she, in some supposed "fault of character," inadvertently killed his/her childhood friend, even though she was being a bitch and ran straight into a river like a fucking moron and drowned like a punk. Now all of the survivors in the group of friends are emofags and can't get over it, and each has some crippling, melodramatic affliction where he/she can't interact with other people like a normal person. This show utilizes the worst way I can think of to construct a character -- make up a bunch of contrived bullshit for drama.
Aoi Bungaku Series (TV) This show = what's wrong with Japan.
Aria the Scarlet Ammo (TV)
Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts (TV) Hideyoshi preemptively gets the best trap of the year award.
Bakuman. (TV) A pretty terrible adaptation from what I've seen so far.
Belladonna of Sadness (movie)
Beyblade (TV)
Blast of Tempest (TV)
Blood-C (TV) So far, it's a terrible re-imagining. The fighting is cool, but it takes 15 minutes of goddamn "yay school life we're all happy but I'm a pubescent teenager who is uncomfortable with her feelings and I have a creepy attraction to my father but it's ok because I'm hanging out with my crappy, one-dimensional, sad cliches in the place of friends." Blood+ still had some school life in the beginning, but it was nowhere near as prevalent or as fucking generic slice-of-life show as this. I hope the series develops into more of a vampire-murdering, mystery-solving story than what it is currently, but considering the OP prominently features Saya's crappy friends, my desire to watch Blood-C is already fading. Hopefully Diva shows up and is super hawt, though.
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (TV)
(The) Book of Bantorra (TV)
Brave10 (TV)
Brynhildr in the Darkness (TV)
C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility (TV)
Cat Planet Cuties (TV) Intro was interesting, but the actual show is just... well let's just say I didn't get halfway through the first episode.
A Certain Scientific Railgun (TV)
Clannad (TV)
Coppelion (TV)
D.Gray-man (TV)
Dance in the Vampire Bund (TV) lolterrible. Stick to the source material and stop fabricating contrived drama that no one cares about; you're making an okay manga into a worse-than-11eyes anime. Stop fucking with the characters. The princess doesn't need saving, you ****************. ----- This is the worst turn of events since the last time SHAFT made a show. Seriously guys, an awesome battle scene with vampires and werewolves that simultaneously introduces the major characters (in manga) gets replaced with a FREAKING GAME SHOW (in anime)!? Good god.
Demon King Daimao (TV) So. Terrible. Does this show even have a director? Seriously, did any person have the slightest clue what he/she was doing when this show was made? Was there a producer? The credits say so, but watching the show I can only conclude that that is a blatant lie. No scene is more impactful than any other, transitions for tonal shifts aren't even present, and the overt lack of direction of this show makes any attempt to piece together this broken excuse for a storyline a painful experience. To waste time writing more about why Daimaou is bad would be a travesty.
Dream Eater Merry (TV) Indescribably terrible. I'm beginning to think it's the fucking awful screenplay writers rather than the director, but they're so close and these shows are so horrendous it's an arbitrary distinction to make. This show does not have dialogue, only monologues that happen to temporally coincide.
El Cazador de la Bruja (TV) Ultra-generic show with a new coat of paint. Just changing your characters to cowboys and bounty hunters does not make it good.
From the New World (TV)
Giant Killing (TV)
Giant Robo (OAV)
Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl (TV)
Guilty Crown (TV) Looks generic. Music was cool. will not finish.
Gunparade March (TV)
Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino (TV)
GUNxSWORD (TV)
Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft (TV) 'the fuck is this shit? I'm not some lovecraftian nerd fuckface. I don't even know what the fuck lovecraftian means. He may have done something about Cuthulu, maybe, which garners undue nerd boners all around. Perhaps these are really stealth-hipster boners, as anyone I know who has ever mentioned lovecraft has been some hipster douchefag who sleeps with men "ironically". But can the concept of "lovecraftian" be made worse? This show has ostensibly set out to prove so, providing a bastardization of something that I already hate so dearly.
Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom (TV)
Hanamaru Kindergarten (TV)
Heaven's Lost Property Forte (TV)
Heroman (TV) 'mericuh! Fuck Yeah! A prediction made after seeing first episode: joey turns out to be a girl.

Night Raid 1931 (TV)
Nyan Koi! (TV)
Nyaruko: Crawling with Love! (TV)
Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions (TV) This show. is just, so... mediocre.
Okamikakushi - Masque of the Wolf (TV) lol higurashi ripoff
Penguin Girl (ONA)
Persona -trinity soul- (TV)
Persona 4: The Animation (TV) Yeah, it looks to be pretty much a straight adaptation of the game. A little too literal in my opinion, as the anime copies everything right down to the calendar-transition splash screen. Right from the get-go, Persona 4 doesn't seem like an anime: characters in the opening scene directly address the viewer, and there are shots and camera pans that don't even make sense for the ostensible first-person perspective. As strange as this is for an anime, this perspective is soon discarded for a scene-by-scene recreation of the first few in-game days. Persona 4 is a fantastic game, but just taking the dialogue, exploration, and battles and making them into one long movie is not very enticing. Hipsternet likes to say games such as Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII should just be sold as movies instead of games. To them, I would point to this very anime as a reason that that is bullshit.
Pokémon (TV)
Psycho-Pass (TV)
Robotics;Notes (TV)
Ronja the Robber's Daughter (TV)
Rozen Maiden (TV)
Sacred Seven (TV) I watched about two and a half minutes... and then couldn't watch any more.
Sakura Trick (TV)
Sasami-san@Ganbaranai (TV)
Say "I love you." (TV)
Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei (TV)
School Rumble (TV) Good Probably will never finish this series... it continued to be really repetitive despite nearing the end of the first season. Favorite Character- Harima Kenji. Pretty shallow series overall; I'm pretty sure the plot is going nowhere, and continues going nowhere for a whole three seasons.
Seitokai Yakuindomo (TV)
Senyū. (TV)
Shakugan no Shana Second (TV) Weak pointless. (see "Shakugan no Shana (TV)" comment)
Shiki (TV) Too bad this show is terrible, or else I would want to watch more of it due to the awesome art style and animation.
Shin Koihime Musō (TV) My view of this show, as well as new anime in general: http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php?comicID=263
Simoun (TV) Awful no. just... no. ----- Good god. This is undeniably the worst anime I have ever bared witness to. Fuck. Google search "simoun worst anime ever" AND THE FIRST FUCKING RESULT is "Simoun - One of the Greatest Anime Ever Made". That is a blatant lie and you know it. The first episode is cringe-inducing. I naively gave it a second chance, due to its relatively high user-ratings. I had to shield my eyes and ears from the horrible voice-acting. DON'T FUCKING WATCH THIS ANIME.
Soul Eater (TV)
Sound of the Sky (TV)
Space Dandy (TV)
Squid Girl (TV) I get it! It's funny because japan's fishing industry has directly lead to the extinction and near-extinction of dozens of species of sea creatures! HIRARIOUS.
Star Driver (TV) Terrible, but I'll keep watching it for the lulz. Scratch that, this show isn't even "hirarious" enough to laugh at the terribleness. Everything about Star Driver is completely incoherent. It's almost a parody of giant robot shows, but that would require some degree of intelligibility to actually work. It's not "it works that way because it's awesome", it's "it works this way because we don't know what we are doing so we thought up this new thing that's different from what we were doing 5 minutes ago". Not even taking into account the story, characters can't even be called characters, as not one person in this show is consistent enough to have even an illusion of a definite personality. One moment a "character" will be ostensibly oblivious to the supernatural, or at least out-of-the-ordinary, happenings around him, and in the NEXT FREAKING SCENE he will for some reason be an expert on the subject of giant fucking cybernetic robots. This isn't even delving into the fact that the bad guys, with no explanation whatsoever, are spiteful and arrogant (yet wholly incompetent) while in costume but act completely normal, or at least on par with other Star Driver characters, while out of costume.
(La) storia della Arcana Famiglia (TV)
Strawberry Marshmallow (TV)
Strike Witches (TV)
Student Council's Discretion (TV)
Tamayura - Hitotose (TV) So old school. How does a show like this even exist in 2011? I love you, Sato Junichi.
Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki (OAV 3/2003)
Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar (OAV) Fuck this show. This isn't even an anime. I cannot believe this is not based off of a visual novel, as the show has all of the trappings of a word-for-word, shot by shot visual novel to anime adaptation. The characters only speak in fucking stupid one-liners, the hero is not a character but a conduit for the viewer's experience, and every other scene is focused on fan service. The writing, if assumed to be anything beyond non-sequiturial monologues, does nothing beyond illustrate how lifeless and simply defined the characters are. We see from quite early that characters have no sense of the weight of their responsibilities, recklessly endangering their own lives as well as entire kingdoms, because, ostensibly, they are the "wild, reckless girl" or the "whacky, fun-seeking girl" or the "over-confident, abrasive girl," who collectively have never experienced anything less than absolute success in their lives surrounded by war and famine. Even on the technical side, this show fails. The battles have no flow and prominently feature disorientating cuts to different angles, the characters do not seem to be emotionally effected by mortal wounds or critical robot damage, and camera cuts IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING other cuts will straight up not even acknowledge what just occurred previous. Also, the sound mastering is complete shit. The dialogue is about twice as loud as the music, which itself is twice as loud as the giant fucking robots jumping around, clashing swords, and exploding large swaths of ground. Apparently this show wants to emphasize the quality dialogue.
togainu no chi - Bloody Curs (TV) Damn you, gg. Trolled into watching a shounen-ai show.
Umineko - When They Cry (TV) Exactly the same as Higurashi. read: DO NOT WANT.
Upotte!! (ONA) fuck everything.
Venus Versus Virus (TV)
Wagnaria!! (TV)

Yu-Gi-Oh! (TV 1/1998)
Yutori-chan (ONA)
Zakuro (TV) Could be... ok... maybe. Update: nope.
