Now that's what I call super beautilful artwork. the backgrounds are so detailled, the movie could of had sucked and I would of been happy to only watch them. Fortunately the story is great too. It's a little bit sad and depressing but either way, I found the love relationship beautiful. |

This must be the most relaxing anime out there because Aria is all about watching Beautifuls scenerys and discovering the world of Aqua throught the silly adventure of Akari and the other. It's a slice of life type of anime so it focuse on small thing happening every days or things that make us nostalgic. Wow, I wish The city of Neo-Venezia could exist! It isn't Paradise but it's really close to be same. |

Baccano! is an anime which is overtaked by so much style. Mafia actions in a old Chicago like setting combined with lots and lots of enjoyable and distinctive character. There is so much Character that the show cannot focuses on any character in the small 13 episode available right now. So there isn't really any a main character but that's far from being a weakness because Baccano! is pulling is story so well you don't really care. About the story, they choosed to told it in a brilliant way by going in every direction. One minute you see an event two years in the future, 5 minutes later it's an event 200 hundred years ago and then 5 minutes later we are back in the present. At first it's a little difficult to follow but by the second half of the anime you get used to it and that's where the story start to shine and this messed way of storytelling become a huge plus.

Kendo is really an interesting sport. I wish it would be more popular in my country, I would loved to practice this sport compared to the most conventional one... Well Back to the anime, it's good but I don't really like the fact that the main character is already uber powerful at the beginning. In a Sport anime it's more interesting to see the underdog rise to the top like in Hajime no Ippo. However it's still quite enjoyable because i like the sport and the characters were enjoyable. Tamaki, the main character, she is even a mixture of Moe and Gar. That quite unusual but it works. |

At first it wasn't that bad but by the end they were like " Oh shit guys we don't have enough episodes left to add everything we want so just triple every episodes with content and accelerate every action scenes". So all this makes the end a big mess where we can't even know what is going on with everything they are throwing at our face. |

The manga of Claymore is just pure gold for me and the anime was until they got in another direction near the end. It really is a shame, I was looking forward to see the bests parts of Claymore in anime format but it won't probably happen. However everything was perfect for 20 episodes so I can't rate the anime below excellent. Thoses dissapointed by the rushed ending shoul check out the manga. It's beyound reasons how much the manga rocks our socks off. |

I am not the biggest fan of mecha around but i must say this show put an orignial spin that makes thing more interesting. The man character has the ability to order someone once to do what he want and he is using this power to take revenge. The ending has this cruel cliffhanger so be prepared. |

OUCH!! My brain hurt so much after watching Excel Saga. Well this anime is the most stupid anime ever created and I am not joking... First the anime has almost no stroy. It keep changing after each episode. One episode is about a political mystery and the episode after is about a animal drama. So It's really random and hard to follow on this aspect.
All the cliché of other anime are boosted whit steroid.
I must say that even if it's the stupidest of the stupidest, i really enjoyed Excel Saga. Sometimes it's so much silly you just can't do anything but laugh like a mad man.
But you really need some nerve of steel to go trough the entire series. My theories is that only crazy peoples (like me) can watch the entire thing. |

So many praising for this anime and yet I was once blinded too. Until I read the Fullmetal Metal Alchemist manga. this anime bacame a big filler fest after. And there is no way that it can approach the greatness that the manga is offering right now. Still the prodcution value is great but it's an anime that need to be remade in the future when the manga are finished. |

A anime based on the popular novel "Le compte de Monte Cristo" can't go wrong. This is more a spine-off of the actuel story beacause of many facts like the fact that the anime is taking place in the future. I love the artwork.! It's so special because when the peoples are walking the texture on their cloths are standing still. So everything look like a painting thanks to this technic. I hope some anime will utilise this thecnic again in the future.
For the negative aspect, I think some part in the story are useless and sometimes it's a little boring. Thought, if you reach the end, you should be satified. "Des points de plus pour les introductions en français. C'est vraiment intéressant de voir des anime, une fois de temp en temp, qui utilisent son langage maternelle". |

Anime with the most explosions EVER. I don't know how to precisely describe this anime. It's something so wack and different than other anime. It is so awsome on many level yet so cliche and stupid at te same time. The action scenes are soo much over the top, I was laughing and was amazed at the same time. The storie has it's sheer amount of values. It tells us that no matter what seem impossible, you can still do it. And yes they are always doing the impossible in this anime. Pure adrenaline rushing througth my veins in almost each episodes. Adding to that, One of the best ending I ever saw. |

One of the best sport anime out there! The story follow a guy named Ippo who was always beat up and then one day he discovers box. We follow him and his companions from the Kurokawa Gym while Ippo is slowly rising to the top. It's a truly inspiring anime and it doesn't really matter if you don't like box. After watching Hajime no Ippo, you will surely end up seeing this sport in a different way. |

This is a Shonen where Seinen fans should love. Artwork can be deceiving and we have one really good example over here. Hunter X hunter take the shonen formula and pushes it way more beyond. The characters in hunter X Hunter actually use strategies in overcoming their adversaries and we never see two fights that are alike. So the unpredictability always remain fresh and that is it's strongest points. You really never can guess what happen. One minute an important character is living and the minute after he's dead just like! |

Good anime but may not be everyone cup of tea. The show focuse primaly on the everydays disscusions of teenage girls and they take their times to get the to points. It has its good and bad momments. the higlights are the crazy Anime manager who burns with passions and also the Lucky Channel at the end of the anime. I only recommend this anime to advanced people in the anime/manga fandom. This way you will enjoy most of the joke who could be more obscur to newbies. |

Why can't anime have more soudntrack like the one we find in murder Princess? Theres always some good metal song with crazy solo when the people are fighting each others. And that really adds a lot to the anime.
Sure i'm a little more biased toward my favorite music genre but the truth is that metal mixed with good action can really pump your blood's up. |

Without considering the filler, Naruto is still a good anime. I know this is a really popular anime but I find it a little bit overated. Sure a anime about ninja doing superstuff is interesting but I think it lacks a little bit on the story side. The beginning was interesting and really promising but after that I think its dragging a little too much. And the biggest problem is the constant use of flashback over and over again. Sometimes it may happens that we see the same flashback 5 times.... So Naruto is not the must see anime in my opinion but it's still entertaining if you can endure lots of useless flashback :P. Even if it's a popular serie, try it before passing a negative judgment because of it's popularity. |

Akagi is one of the most badass and interesting character out there. Unlikes lots of protagonist this one should be the antagonist because of the way he acts. he's alway cold calculating, on the edge and trying to gamble is life at the same time. Acting like that always strike fears into his opponents and we really never know what his really thinking. Beside the interesting character that Akagi is we have a anime about Mahjong. So if you a are as clueless as me about Mahjong you should still be able to enjoy the anime because of the storyline. But knowing Mahjong is a really big plus because half the time i was rolling my eyes when peoples were shitting their pants before an uber Hand of the doom. |

Simplely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Higurashi is one of my favorite anime of all time because the story is so great and well told. One of the best Horror/Supence anime out there for sure. The minute the anime start you see a guy hitting two girls with a baseball bat. "WTF is that" should be your normal reaction. But it's all part of the psycho story and it's indead a psycho one.
Don't be fooled by the first two episodes, they are meant to be stupid and create a "light atmosphere" for what is comming next. If you love the genre, I guarente thaht you will be hooked after the 4 episode. You CAN'T put it down after this episode.
The ending was more average but the second season is comming this year (2007) so check it out after the first season. |

I think every anime/manga can be entertaining in some way or another. So when i'm rating an anime/manga lower thant five it's because it's very very very not worthy of your time. This one is good exemple. Stupid story about ninja I don't care. Stupid plot going nowhere. I almost felt asleep watching this in the middle of the day !!! Stay far far away from this unless you have too choose between this or Barney's the purple dinosaur.... |

OMG, so funny! Everyone is so much into winning the bread competions in this anime. It's like you take a fighting competion anime with all the elements but turn it into a bread fighting competion instead. The resuslt is that you can't stop laughing. However, I didn't rated it with a perfect score because i think the last arc is weak compared the other one.
As a side note : I must say that one of the character named KID must be the coolest character ever! This guy is the definition of coolness haha. |
