Accel World (TV) Decent
Another (TV) Good
Attack on Titan (TV) Excellent (Please keep in mind that here I am commenting on the Attack on Titan anime series, and not the story as a whole as told in the manga.) Probably one of the most engaging animes that I have seen to date. Obviously created with a studio that had a gigantic budget, and used it wisely. Almost everything in this anime is done well, but it is not without its flaws. A lot of the episodes are very empty, merely having a beginning, key event in the middle and then a cliffhanger to infuriate you at the end. The anime also seems to have a very abrupt ending, I know this is to make way for the rest of the story, but It did not leave a feeling of satisfaction that I think an ending should. If these mistakes weren't present within the anime, then I'd have no problem with calling it a masterpiece.
Bakemonogatari (TV) Excellent
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan (TV) Bad
Chobits (TV) Very good
Clannad (TV) Excellent There are many who look upon the slice of life genre as a putrid stain on reputation of anime, similar to the generic first person shooters of gaming. In a lot of cases, this may be correct, however, I do hope that such an attitude does not turn you off from Clannad. Clannad is definitely worth your attention regardless of taste, and will probably move you to the extent where you may openly search for other slice of life titles merely in the hopes that you may find something similar to Clannad.
Clannad After Story (TV) Masterpiece
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (TV) Excellent
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 (TV) Very good
Death Note (TV)
(The) Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (movie) Very good
Elfen Lied (TV) Good I am drawn to dark storytelling, and this is as about as dark as a story can get so I have found myself becoming rather attached to this one.
Fate/Zero (TV) Very good
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) Decent
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV) Masterpiece
(The) Future Diary (TV) Very good
(The) Garden of Sinners (movie series) Excellent
Guilty Crown (TV) Not really good Guilty crown may appear as an anime worthy of your attention, sporting a great soundtrack and fantastic art as well as a great opening credits sequence, however behind all this lies the anime's true form. Although the story is full of interesting ideas and concepts, the anime never really builds from them and throws away potentially fantastic ideas. The characters never maintain constant personality and are at times extremely unconvincing. Watch if you are a fan of interesting and original ideas, but don't expect anything good to come from those ideas and don't expect a journey with likable characters.
Gurren Lagann (TV) Very good
Haganai (TV) Awful
Hellsing Ultimate (OAV) Excellent
Howl's Moving Castle (movie) Excellent
HYOUKA (TV) Good
K-ON! (TV) So-so
A Letter to Momo (movie) Excellent
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! (TV) Decent
Lucky Star (TV) So-so
Mayo Chiki! (TV) Weak
(The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV)
My Little Monster (TV) So-so
Nekomonogatari (Black) (TV) Very good
Nisemonogatari (TV) Very good
(The) Pet Girl of Sakurasou (TV) Very good
Princess Mononoke (movie)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (TV) Excellent This anime pulled a nasty trick on me. It starts off so happy and cheerful, but a few episodes in, suddenly becomes dark and twisted, full of sadness, grief and death.
Serial Experiments Lain (TV) Very good Now this, is one smart anime. Very old, but regardless one that has been very cleverly constructed. I'm not going to lie, this anime can be extremely hard to get into, and there is a very specific mindset that you will need to have in order to enjoy it. But believe me, once you do get into it, you'll never be able to get out of it. Prepare to have your very perception of the universe twisted and convoluted.
Sonic X (TV) Bad
Soul Eater (TV)
Spirited Away (movie) Masterpiece
Steins;Gate (TV) Excellent
Sunday Without God (TV) Good
Sword Art Online (TV) So-so The way I see it, this anime can be divided into two halves. The first half was actually pretty good, with nice art and music as well as epic fight scenes. The second half was horrible, with over abused sex appeal and unconvincing characters. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a fantastic anime to watch, but it is good to some degree.
Tales from Earthsea (movie) Decent
