| Plenty of people make lists of the "Top # Anime" they've seen. However, my eyes bleed when I see many of these lists populated by utter crap like Naruto or Full Metal Panic! Occasionally, I may see a list that contains some meat, with inclusions like Nausicca and Akira, but in this day and age, it's more likely to see someone slap Bleach or Evangelion in there and be done with it. A problem with a large amount of anime viewers these days is that they flat out refuse to watch anything with a somewhat ugly or old looking art style. With that being said, it's amazing how people can instantly like a crap show just because it has an overly cute art style. Example; Lucky Star. If we replaced Lucky Star's art style with Hajime no Ippo's, the ratings would probably drop dramatically. If Lucky Star's rating was an object, it would be a lump of pure gold, except the gold turns into shit when you pick it up. With that being said, let's go over my list. I know it says that this is my "Top 7 Anime," and that probably seems like a weird number. It's my "Top 7 Anime" because 10 is an awfully high number. And 5? Get fucking serious. |
