I feel a bit conflicted about this anime, the message is fine, and gives off a feeling saying that this is a masterpiece candidate... Still though, it was not very captivating until the end, and left so many questions unanswered that I don't feel like I can deservingly give it a high-tier rating.
Loved the art style though, so I'll give it the little extra bump to a definitive 7/10 from me. |

Very enjoyable, but I felt it was lacking in depth, and it should have had at least twice the episodes. The concept was fantastic and it definitely had the potential of landing a top rating. All-in-all I give it 7.5/10, could have been 9-10 if it wasn't so short. |

It has a lot of fanservice though, and I mean a lot! But even though it has as much fanservice as it does, it feels very well executed, so I have few complaints. All in all a very captivating anime with many good points, I'll give it 8/10 ^^ |

Must watch, it simply gets better and better with every episode. Found it kind of hard to watch in the beginning due to the art style, and honestly I didn't really start enjoying it untill I was around episode 30, and then it really takes off around episode 70. If you're afraid of the art style, it does get gradually better. The new modern look is nothing to complain about.
Also, the depth of which you get to know the characters is simply amazing! I've never seen such deep character storylines before. |

Most of the episodes are stories by themselves, and they are usually not very relevant to the rest of the story, yet there are some deeper parts that get two or three episodes to unfold. All of it starts, and ends with Fuu's goal of finding the samurai who smells of sunflowers, but there didn't seem to be put much weight on that part. It's a very good anime that should be watched, but the story is not all that consistent, and you never really get to know a lot about the characters, but it was a nice watch, and I found the ending to be great, even if the main plot barely came through. I'll give it a rating of 8/10, would be higher if the story was consistent, and you got to know more about the main characters. |
