Ai Yori Aoshi (TV) Good I really enjoyed the first few episodes of this, which is odd considering I only like romance for the smut but there's exceptions for everything. I dislike how the series fell into the harem pattern, even less that there's yet another series to this (overcomplicated much?).
Bamboo Blade (TV) Good 1-3. I love Miyamiya, I sense such dark depths in her. Most of the other characters were amusing as well, I look forward to seeing more. ^_^
(The) Big O (TV) Decent I know, I know, I should have hated this but I rather liked it, and am interested in seeing just what the big mystery behind the city losing it's memories is.
Black Butler: Public School Arc (TV)
Black Jack (OAV) Good How can you not be amused at watching someone cut up people? Well, okay, maybe if Black Jack killed people instead of saving them, it'd be better but I rather liked how things progressed in this series.
Bleach (TV) Excellent 1-37. One Kurosaki Ichigo has spent nearly all his life dealing with beings of the spirit world, but when he meets a shinigami, everything changes for the better (or worse). I freakin' love this series to bits, the latter episodes are especially good, sucker am I for fights, a good story, and bishies.
Blood+ (TV) Excellent Caught most of the first episode, and beyond being sort of confused as to why the girl couldn't remember most of her life, by the end I was hooked (the hot cello playing man helped). I'm intrigued.
Blue Gender (TV) Good
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (TV) Decent One ep is amusing, another is scary...I'm sure in a large dose this show would get tiresome but random episodes here and there aren't bad at all.
(The) Book of Bantorra (TV) Good 1-3. This one is interesting and has me amused by the idea of human bombs. The rest, eh, it's okay. I'd have to see more to figure out if the series just has a slow start or if it gets better as it goes along.
Burst Angel (TV) So-so Hmm, it was decent, and entertaining, I'll give it that but I don't think I'd actually buy it myself. Not to mention, none of the girls in this can afford to dress themselves completely.
Case Closed (TV) Good 1-130. Taken in small doses, this is fun to watch but watch a lot of episodes and Conan's know-it-all attitude begins to grind on your last nerve.
Claymore (TV) Decent 1-3. Hirata Hiroaki is in this, which pleases me even if most of the show is kind of 'eh.' The animation and music are really good, I just wish Clare had a little more personality (she can play at one, but trust me, all her personality got sucked out years ago). Further episodes will decide if this series just had a bad start...
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (TV) Masterpiece 1-3. Ah, character designs by CLAMP (eye raping went on a lot while I watching it *eyes shift*). I was impressed with how well the storyline was put together, as well as Lelouch's power (I would so abuse it). I'm damn interested in seeing more. ^_^
Crest of the Stars (TV) Decent From what little I've seen of it, it looks really interesting. When I'm able to find it cheap, I'll probably spring for it.
D.Gray-man (TV) Very good 1-21. I could swear they're tweaking the source material somewhat (but I could be wrong...). Anyway, I like it but at times, it's hard to take some scenes seriously, which is weird but I guess the anime feels more genetic than the manga itself (if that makes any sense). I'll watch to the end though. ^_^
Darker than Black (TV) Excellent 1-3. Oh yeah, this one was good. I liked Li and his three personalities. :p Just curious about how Contractors gain their powers to begin with, and I hope they explore that later on in the series.
Dragon Ball (TV) Decent Amusing in a toilet humor type of way, though far better than some series I've seen.
Dragon Ball GT (TV) Decent Why didn't people like this? In it's original format, it's pretty damned amusing.
Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure (TV) Tenchi with robots! A good series nonetheless.
Full Moon o Sagashite (TV) So-so A little too shoujo-ish for me though I did find the death spirits amusing. I like the music at least.
Geneshaft (TV) Decent Must collect on DVD!
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG (TV) Decent I've seen an episode here and there, I'd like it much better if I could see the series in order. More DVDs to get, sigh...
Glass Maiden (TV) Good 1-2. Was it just me or did the character designs differ from scene to scene? I found the two girl detectives incredibly annoying, but what I did like was the mysterious girl angle and the music (the opening was damn pretty). Definitely will finish the series since it's short and looks to be interesting all the way through.
Green Legend Ran (OAV) So-so
Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor (TV) Good Uhm, yeah, I liked it, I really have no idea why but I'm amused by it. It's predictable as all hell but I was having a gay old time making fun doing some scenes...I'd like to see more, just to see if it gets more interesting.
Hayate the Combat Butler (TV) Very good 1-9. Ah, I really liked this one, it was damn entertaining and utterly random. The character Hayate amuses me for some reason, as well as Nagi (and the tiger guy, love him). I wonder if the manga's just as good...
Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You (TV) Good Hmm, very behind on this series. This is the third one, I believe? The formula is mostly the same, which is still amusing. Not sure where the Area 51 theme is going...
Hellsing Ultimate (OAV) Masterpiece 1-5. Goddamn, I want more of this, it was violent, action packed, and followed the manga oh so closely. I can just imagine this level of quality when they get to the Nazi confrontation. Now *that* will be something to see. Update: It so is too, fucking awesome. I was on the edge of my seat during the fifth part, where's the sixth already? ;_;
Heroic Age (TV) So-so 1-3. All the stuff with the tribes was confusing me at first (Iron, Golden, Silver, Bronze, can't you just call them by their race names or something instead of different metals?). It seemed to me that Age is pretty well set if he can fight for someone just because his alien relatives told him to...maybe this was just too generic for me, but whatever, I'll watch it all just for the sake of it.
Hikaru no Go (TV) Very good 1-3. I want to play Go now. -_-; Just like the manga, the story is oddly engrossing and I want to see the rest of this soon.
Hot Juicy Teacher (OAV) Decent Even though there was some bodily function play (yuck), I was impressed the guys actually got tortured just as much as the girls. The guy who got blamed for raping a teacher amused me (it's like once he got labeled a bad-ass, he went all out and didn't give a fuck anymore). I'd watch the rest if I could, rape just amuses me.
Hyper Police (TV) Excellent Whim anime (yes, it has a title now) that really amused me. ^_^ Humans are an endangered species, and animal people are now the norm (how's that for a interesting world?). Admittedly though, I've got a thing for Batanen. ^^;;
Ikki Tousen (TV) So-so Despite Hafuku's denseness (she's adorable, in that let's-ram-a-car-into-her way), and the plot is a bit like Mirage of Blaze and Tenjou Tenge shoved together, but don't be fooled, this series is all about fan-service (yes, that's right, Hafuku can't fight without losing much, or all of her clothing; she's never heard of bras or long skirts either -_-).
Initial D: Fourth Stage (TV) Excellent Meet Takahashi Ryosuke, the man who knows all and displays this ability to it's best during races, in fact, he'll know if you're watching this series so you'd better keep a keen eye about you.
Inukami! (TV) So-so Why are the wrestling club's butts shiny?! Do they take a towel, spit on it, and literally rub their butts down until they're shiny as a new penny? -_-; I was disturbed by this, and I'm really not curious enough to watch more (if I did, I'd need lots and lots of therapy).
Inuyasha (TV) Good The epic tale of Kagome and crew has they try to gather the fragments of the Sacred Jewel...which is the problem in of itself, it's too epic, as the story is dragged out as much as possible, but I enjoy the characters so I watch it when possible.
Katanagatari (TV) Very good 1-2. The character designs threw me off a bit in the beginning then I really enjoyed the sense of humor the anime seemed to have. The fights are rather interesting though I really doubt a martial art that doesn't use a sword could be so powerful in real life. I'll gladly finish watching this when I have a chance. ^_^
KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple (TV) Decent 1-3. Kenichi really annoyed me at first (in fact he still does, he's just overshadowed by all the martial art masters who are oh so amusing). I also wasn't very fond of the character designs, everyone looked damn ugly most of the time; at 50 episodes, I'm not sure I could take watching the whole tale of Kenichi's growth as a martial artist. Maybe 5 episodes at a time perhaps.
Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho (TV) Good 1-3. Ah, an harem show with swimsuits. Not too bad, just a tad heavy on the fan service. I am interested in how they resolve the whole mermaid angle. Was it just me or was Ninagawa's father hot for some reason? *eyes shift*
Kiddy Grade (TV) Good I was impressed! I really didn't expect much out of this, but man do I want to see it from the beginning now.
Kimagure Orange Road (OAV) Good
Kurenai (TV) Good 1. So far, I like it. The storyline seems a tad simple, yes, but I like most of the characters (even Murasaki, who should annoy the hell out of me). Further episodes will decide whether it's really good or just passable.
Kurozuka (TV) Very good 1-2. Freakin' beautiful animation, even when heads are flying off of bodies. Not exactly sure where the story is going (or example, did anything in the second episode actually happened?) but I'll gladly watch more.
(The) Legend of the Galactic Heroes (OAV) Good 1-2. I had no idea what to expect when I started this, it's basically an anime about war from two perspectives, neither of which is bad or good, using various strategies in the pursuit of combat. I kind of liked it but I have no idea where to find more episodes.
Library War (TV) Decent 1-3. This has the most boring story I've ever seen, why fight over books of all things? Sure, I like them as much as the next person but I wouldn't ever kill a person for one. The main character annoys the hell out of me, why does she have to cry every freakin' episode? Irritating on more than one level.
Lucky Star (TV) Good 1-3. I thought this would be crazier than it really was (it's more situational humor than anything else), still I did like the show and seeing more would be nice.
Lupin III: Part II (TV) Excellent 1-121. Classic anime. I love watching the gang at work and it's damn sweet when you see Zenigata is just as much a part of the gang as the rest of them (even if he works for the other side most of the time). The series is a bit sillier than the first, but just as good.
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's (TV) Decent 9. You know, from the name itself, it didn't look that interesting but it's sort of pretty.
Martian Successor Nadesico (TV)
Mobile Suit Gundam (TV) So-so Did you say something about the staple of mecha anime? Well, I'm not inclinced to agree, I'd say this was a start to the great Gundam series (08th MS Team, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed) later on. Mostly, it's just dated and boring to me.
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (TV) Excellent 1-3. It was confusing at first but by the middle of the second episode, I was into it (mass murdering sprees help a lot in that regard). It seems like the plot should become quite convoluted and I, for one, look forward to sorting it all out. ^_^
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (OAV) Good Must collect on DVD!
Monochrome Factor (TV) Very good 1-3. I liked this better than I thought I would, it was very funny (even when it wasn't meant to be) and I'm curious where it's going story wise. I don't really like the fact Shirogane wears lipstick most of the time or the washed-out character designs (for example, Shadow Akira looks better than his regular form) but I can ignore those faults well enough. Just glad there's another shounen ai anime out there.
NANA (TV) So-so I liked the music and the hot guys, but that was all really. I really don't have much interest in the lives of the two Nanas (though I sort of like the punk one), much less their love lives. Complaints include general stupidity when it comes to romance (I'm looking at you, Hachi -_-) and the character designs (though it's mostly just those huge foreheads- what are they, cavemen?).
Naruto (TV) Good
Neuro - Supernatural Detective (TV) Good 1-4. Hilarious, unintentionally so at times, I suspect. As it was though, I had a hard time keeping myself from breaking down into giggles during some scenes (wouldn't do to show my crazy side in a room full of strangers). The only bad thing is there's a formula the episodes follow and the culprits are all too easy to see. Perhaps the series will get deeper by the end?
One Piece (TV 1999) Masterpiece 1-806. Greatest. Ever. Setting, characters, story, all are motherfucking perfect, and a pox on anyone who says different. Hail the Oda or die!
One Piece: Episode of Skypiea (special)
Otogi Zoshi (TV) Good I saw ep. 1 on a sampler disc, and judging from that little, I can only say I'm intruiged.
Patlabor the Mobile Police (TV) Decent I liked, though it seems more simple than the movies I've seen, I'd watch more though.
(The) Prince of Tennis (TV) Downloaded the first ep, haven't touched it yet since I've found it plays without sound (so I need to fix that somehow >_>). But really, I just wanted to have a taste of this series (have no idea if I'll get horribly addicted or not). Is it odd to say I want to...? ^^;;
Princess Resurrection (TV) Very good 1-7. I kind of liked this, I mean it's not the best I've ever seen but the storyline was amusing (that poor mansion, it takes so much abuse). The variety of weapons Ojou-sama made use of was quite refreshing (who doesn't want to watch someone go to town with a chainsaw? ^_^). I'm curious how many times Hiro is going to die by the end of the series. :p
Prism Ark (TV) So-so 1-3. If this anime had stuck to one tense mode of storytelling, I would have liked it more but as it was, they were switching from past to present so fast, it was hard to tell what the fuck was going on. If they ever get to the past princess and possible king bit in further episodes, I'd be interested but until this, I refuse to watch it. I also wasn't really that wild about the character designs, up close it was detailed but far away the animation was quite bland.
Ranma ½ (TV) Yet to see all of this, and am reserving comment until then.
Rental Magica (TV) Excellent 1-2. Interesting story, I'm curious about the origin of Iba's weird eye (split personality or demon inhabiting his body? Could be either). Hopefully it stays as good as it started in later episodes.
Robotech (U.S. TV) Good I remember watching the first few episodes but that's about it, no comment on whether it was good or bad as I can't recall.
Rosario + Vampire (TV) Decent 1-3. I find this annoying for a variety of reasons (repetition, very odd music cues, and the predictable nature of the story; if Tsukune is actually human, I will eat one of my fingers). But regardless, I'll finish it for the hell of it, just can't leave anime unfinished unless it's akin to torture while viewing it.
(The) Sacred Blacksmith (TV)
Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (TV)
Samurai Girl Real Bout High School (TV) Not really good Samurai girl fights, travels to other dimensions, and deals with life in general...I'd have to see all of this to figure out if I liked it.
Shaman King (TV 2001) Very good The dub is horrible, and until I'm able to see it in it's unedited Japanese glory, no more will Hikaru's eyes view this.
Shin chan (TV) Good This show is far too amusing, almost everyone seems to be foul-mouthed and quick to use violence even when it's not needed. But I do think the animation sucks. -_-; Nonetheless, I'll watch it as long as Adult Swim feels like airing it (I love the Despair and Misery Bunny).
Shion no Oh (TV) Good 1-3. Interesting, I'm curious as to where they're going story wise (the cross-dressing man amuses me). It doesn't make me want to play shogi, which is a good thing. The character designs are rather pretty.
Shonen Onmyouji (TV) Good 1-3. This reminded me of Tactics, what with all the mythical monster terms and the problem of the week formula. But hey, it's pretty as all hell and I sense more bishies will come into the picture later on so more I will see eventually.
Sola (TV) Decent 1-3. I've got nothing against this series, but I do wish the pace of the story was a little faster (they didn't really explain the whole 'woe of the night' thing very well and that's the most interesting part at least to me). Some of the characters could be better explored as well...
Soul Eater (TV) Very good 1-3. This one amuses me on so many levels (I like the human-weapon element). The characters and animation are all very entertaining, I love Death the Kid the most, his hang-ups are funny. So looking forward to watching more of this series.
Spice and Wolf (TV) Decent 1-3. Slow and kind of boring at times. It's not like I really care about how merchants do their business or how currency's silver content goes up and down. Still, I wouldn't mind watching more if only to say I've seen all of it.
Strike Witches (TV) Not really good 1. If you love fan service, this is your series. Clearly, the men wear the pants in this anime (yes, it's a horrible play on words, forgive me). I find that damn sexist and it was hard to take any of the female characters seriously. Story was a little cliche but I'd be willing to watch more so long as I can get past the panty shots...
Tenchi in Tokyo (TV) Bad
Tentacle and Witches (OAV) So-so
Theater of Darkness: Yamishibai 9 (TV 9/2021) rated episode 4
Tohai Densetu Akagi -Yamini Maiorita Tensai- (TV) Decent 1-3. The character designs bother me intensely but Akagi is damn evil (you have to respect him for that) and the mahjong play is fascinating so I'll watch the rest of it. Perhaps by the end of it, I'll actually know how to play that damn game (which I so want to do now, dammit).
Toriko (TV) So-so 1, 51, 99. I watched the first episode for the 1p crossover. I wasn't that impressed, and probably won't be finishing the series. The story's not that interesting to me. Also hit up episode 51 and 99 for the same reason, really wish the crossovers would stop already. At least do other shows...
(The) Twelve Kingdoms (TV) Good It's an interesting show but it was horribly confusing for a few episodes so I didn't really take a liking to it until Youko wised up and stopped crying about her situation. I will see the rest if I have my say about it.
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie (TV) Decent Gag me with a spoon, but despite the corniness and over-cuteness of the series, I like it.
Venus to Mamoru (TV) Decent 1-3. Surprisingly, I enjoyed watching this, even if I was more than a little confused on the whole Beatrice thing (Ayako had more powers than she deserved I think). I don't get how Ayako fell so hard for Mamoru (then again, there was a flashback showing they'd met as kids so perhaps the story will shed light on that issue later on). The Student Council's antics reminds me of the Host Club from Ouran, so that was damn amusing seeing them go at their plots and whims.
Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files (TV) Good Yet to see all of this, and am reserving comment until then.
