Gintama (TV) Excellent I've been watching the DVD's as they come out and this is one of the best anime comedies I've ever watched. It consistently gets big laughs out of me episode after episode. It does take a couple of episodes to get into it though, as the main draw here are the characters. They are hilarious. I love them all, the three leads, the Shinsengumi, the aliens, even that weird bird thing, Elizabeth. I can't wait for the next set.

Set four arrived and I tore through it in a couple of nights. I love this show. The episode that features the hostess competition in the hostess bar was comedy gold. Even when some episodes are less comedic, such as when Kagura's dad comes to retrieve her, I still find it highly entertaining. It's the characters that make this show. They are all memorable and unique. The set ended at episode 49, which seemed to be the end of season one, according to the voiceover at the end. I hope we get more of this series.

Guilty Crown (TV)
Mobile Suit Gundam UC (OAV) I enjoyed the first episode much more than I was expecting, having not been the biggest fan of the Gundam franchise. It obviously had a large budget to work with, as it is beautifully animated, making even the less interesting bits fun to watch. Having not seen much Gundam previously, there were many references to past series that I didn't grasp, but thankfully they aren't important to understanding the plot here. I am looking forward to continuing this.

I've finally gotten around to watching up to episode five and I must say that this show keeps getting better and better. The animation is absolutely amazing. The characters have been fleshed out a bit, and the story isn't as obtuse. There are still some details I feel I have missed by not seeing other Gundam shows, but the don't appear to be crucial to my enjoyment of the show.

togainu no chi - Bloody Curs (TV) I was only able to watch two episodes before ANN took it down (I was late, I know). What I saw looked interesting. Granted, I have never played the game nor read the manga, so I was going into it blind. If it ever streams somewhere again, I'd certainly watch.
