These are pretty much not worth my time to watch them. They ether bored me or were so bad that I didn't want to see anymore of them.

Afro Samurai (TV)
Going into this, I thought it may be something similar to Samurai Champloo, with rap done tastefully with normal samurai. And in this case, I was sadly mistaken. It follows a black samurai with a very large afro. Now I am not against black people, but I do feel that this sort of breaks into a rather stereotypical area since it seems that almost every black person in this show has a rather large afro. I feel rather odd watching this seeing as how it should be feudal Japan and yet not at the same time. It throws me off how so close it is to the Japan of the past and yet just as I get comfortable in my surroundings, I see a large robot or something off in the background. I would have thought that there would be at least a little more to the futuristic part to this story. Afro is very silent, strong, and pretty brave. He is almost like the perfect idea of a samurai. Now talking about him, I also have to talk about Ninja. There are many things you can debate about this character. Some may call him a different character, following Afro around and watching from the sidelines. I like the later idea that he is sort of the Hyde to Afro’s Jekyll. He is the side in which he will never let out and possibly the link to a childhood he might have felt was cut short after his father’s death. He is the one that pretty much says anything that Afro will not say himself, whatever he actually thinks or doubts. I think in a way, he may be the only one keeping Afro sane to a point where Afro keeps going on no matter the cost. Ninja also seems to be the comedy that brakes up what would be a very dull or boring anime sometimes. The art style is rather nice although a little stiff, chiseled, and very detailed; and yet when we get into the movement, everything seems to go rather runny egg but what would you expect from Gonzo? It becomes one of those stories where it just looks so much better when it’s standing still. A lot of times, we have something trailing off a character, weather it is ribbons that trail from their headbands rather stiffly, or even the afro flies all over the place which I have never seen a afro do in real life. It is also very dark, making it sometimes hard to see what is going on; a lot of it is thrown into shadows near dusk or at night. Some of the voice actors are pretty good in the English dub (Couldn’t find the Japanese dub online) and then some of them feel very out of place. It’s hard to say anything about Afro since he doesn’t talk very often, in fact, most of the time, he is very silent. Although, when he does speak, it’s to the point and rather good. I actually liked the idea of Samuel L. Jackson (yes, The Samuel L. Jackson) playing him even if his voice seems a tad to deep once in a while. On the other side, Ninja is a rather interesting voice, also done by Samuel as well. It surprises me that Samuel was able to play both characters rather well even if they have different personalities.

Arcade Gamer Fubuki (TV)
Let me ask you this, what the hell is this show? I mean, I give it points for originality but man oh man….. This is really a messed up show. The whole premise is about a girl showing off her panties to play video games. I don’t know about her, but I wouldn’t put on a pair of underwear that some strange guy tried to give me, let alone actually take them. The show felt bland. There seemed to be no reason for this show to even exist and I have a bad feeling that Gulasic pretty much meant Classic but because of Japanese vocals, we thought it to be Gulasic. The animation doesn’t look like a show done in the 21st century at all. It’s more like a vintage version. I so do not get the characters at all, the guy for the first part has what look like large beaver teeth and don’t even look like they are connected to his mouth. The animation is bland and over used a lot. It pretty much feels like a panty shot hentai style artwork. I couldn’t actually stand the Japanese voices at all, they were way too high pitched and painful. Of course English voices aren’t any good ether but at least they are better. The English at least gives it the same out of control comedy that it should have, but it felt… well, more like Excel Saga in how the voices sounded. Fubuki was really high voiced, her friend sounds like a squeaky Emi Oba from Comic Party. Even the guy that follows Fubuki around sounds off. In the first part, he says BAG in English, and it sounds a lot like Fag instead.

Birdy the Mighty: Decode (TV)
This is one of those strange shows where one of the main characters dies before the main plot is even really talked about. I can’t help feeling like I have heard this story somewhere before, where two people have to share one body for a time period. I just can’t think of the show at the moment. Many of the characters personalities bother me; Birdy’s is a little two out there in the English dub. Tsutomu’s friend is positively the nosiest person in this. She will not leave him alone for a second and buts her nose into his business constantly. Sadly, they also bring people in suddenly without much info and leave you to figure out what the heck is going on for a while. There are a lot of cut scenes back and forward from different areas and they don’t really click where they are supposed to come into play. The artwork is a little interesting and sometimes not consistent enough to be the best. Many times, the artwork feels really lazy. Many times, the characters lose shape a lot and some look off, no eyebrows and don’t have really great facial looks to it. Overall, it’s pretty bland and un-detailed with 3D spliced all over the place from outer space to just little camera angle changes. Sad thing is that you can actually see and know that its 3D without even having to look too hard. The outfit Birdy wears is really too showy and ecchi, made mostly for fan service it seems and I don’t get why almost every step seems to have this flint and medal look where sparks fly. When it comes to the voices, it’s all over the place. Tute is one of the best I think, the English voice actor, J. Michael Tatum (known for Sebastian from Black Butler and Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) sounds a lot like Shinji Kawada, the Japanese voice actor. He seems to have the perfect voice for the knowledgeable character in these. Birdy on the other hand… well… I like her Japanese voice better then her English one. Her Japanese voice sounds more like one of authority then her English Teen pop voice. Even when she’s relaxed in Japanese, she sounds more like a investigator. Unfortunately, I lost interest in most of the show after the 3rd episode because of a certain character was pretty much thrown out of the show. To me, that character was the only worth watching in this show. The rest really got on my nerves.

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (TV)
What can I say about this odd show? Um… disgusting… crazy… weird? I think all that and more pretty much says what this show is about. The idea of a man using nose hairs to fight off bald men kind of feels really off and that’s only half of it. Gags hit you like waves without any stop. Sometimes they sneak up on you and hit you suddenly. Lets see, characters are just really odd, Beauty isn’t that pretty and seems to be only there for a cue to say what the fuck was that? About 5 minutes into the first episode, my brain shut off and that’s just because of how stupid this all seems. The art is really odd but yet done to look similar to One Piece. Bobobo is really strange design. He’s white with the large yellow afro just looks strange and has really hard muscular body that reminds me of Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist. He has really freaking long nose hairs he uses to fight. Also, he sounds smart, and then does a stupid skit that makes me feel stupid. The strange creatures are really sloppy character designs, and the animation is reused a lot. The voices are so odd along with everything else. Bobobo sounds like a black man but yet looks more like a disco man. Beauty sounds really whinny and just… I can’t really stand the English dub and the Japanese made me feel clueless. Some of the music is ok, though not all of it works. Just… I don’t know what else to say about this…This isn’t considered a scar on the Animation world but its on the low side of the peak that’s actually good… depending who you talk to.

Final Fantasy: Unlimited (TV)
First off, if you are looking for something that is just like the games, then stay far away from this show. It is made for children and that’s how it should really stay in my mind. Another thing is that it pretty much gives you a middle finger when you want to know more of the ending because the manga that takes place after this isn’t translated for Americans. I seriously don’t know why they would dub this (except for maybe the big boom of video game selling, and yet, this has nothing to do with them.) A lot of the stuff that should be explained is never explained so I feel really left out, not a great way to try and get me to watch. I actually don’t feel I could finish this show at all. Nothing is explained; some things are implied but leave you wondering what the fuck was going on. In the end, I lost interest half way threw because of this and the fact that Kaze’s summoning takes so freaken long. I mean, do we really need a 10 minute summoning in a half hour show? Its worse then Sailor Moon’s transformations each and every episode. I just about fell asleep to it! It pretty much consists of him flipping a bullet as he talks about what color it is and what it symbolizes, it going into the gun where it pretty much shows as a CG version, and then he does it 2 more fucken times… give me a break! How come it has to happen that long? It pretty much seems to take up all of the show just for him to summon one monster. It was supposed to be 50 episodes long but got cut down to pretty much fucken half, so makes me not want to watch it even more. The animation is BAD! Really, the runny egg look of everything and the way they move is so bad. The design of things looks like a freaken acid trip and the CG feels much out of place in a lot of the scenes. What can I say? Gonzo messed another one up again. I mean, go look at it if you really care about the animation because I don’t know how else to explain how bad they messed up. The voices are really bad, most of them full of monotones that show no really feeling. Kaze rarely speaks and even his counterpart seems a real downer. I really wish he would talk a little more. At least explain something! Now here’s a part where I’m going to speculate something about Kaze and his rival that I probably will never know if it’s real or not. Kaze might be the reincarnation of Bahamut and his rival is the reincarnation of Mist Dragon from the fight in the beginning of the show… There, I said my bit, and I probably will never know the truth now because the stupid show is bland and the part with all the answers has not come out in English.

.hack//Legend of the Twilight (TV)
Well… here we go again. You would think that with this long, they would have been able to figure out all of what was going on so that the new characters wouldn’t have that problem. I have a problem with the characters, the Shugo and Rena are brother and sister, but Shugo keeps getting the hots for his sister’s character. I know that it’s not her but come on; it’s still bothersome since we don’t see them in the outer world except in memories. Also, tell me why they have to call out each others names when ever they are in trouble? It’s really really un needed. The characters look really kid-ish, and not like SIGN, and it’s a little annoying. The colors are way too bright and odd for how dark the show is supposed to be. When I want to watch something that is pretty much part of the same sequel, I would have liked them to look like the original. A lot of this just seems like it’s made for the fan service and objects. The Beginning song isn’t really anything special. In fact, I just pretty much figured I could just skip it since it was a bit annoying. In fact, almost every bit of music that is in this seems to be off. During battles, there is this strange music that sounds jazzy. It makes everything feel like a joke. The English voices, although a bit cute, some of them sound way too cutesy and squeaky. It’s just really harsh to my ears. Some of the characters seem like they have the wrong voices and so bothers me a little.

.hack//SIGN (TV)
The show thrusts you into a something that they never give you any real information for. The story is slow and definitely not like a real rpg game. Normally you would not stand around and talk for hours on end like how they do it. That would be a good way to get attacked. And that’s not the only problem of this show, they talk but they don’t really say much or they think you have already had the knowledge of the games already. This must seem like a good idea for the creators of the story since a lot of anime that are based on games do this but it’s not really that great. When the game is not translated over or when it’s harder to get, it really throws you off the anime since it leaves more questions than answers. There is another thing that just feels out-of-place. The opening has a women dancing around a virtual world but from what I know of, she is never an actual character within the world. She seems very out-of-place. The artwork is rather wonderful, very clean and crisp. The world is bright and colorful, not much flaw in that part. The movement when there is some seem right for how normal games are played though this is mostly a still images show, more on the line of talking again. The characters mouths move is most of the animation that happens. Um… the voices now are just a little off in the English version of the show is really odd. I’m not so found of them, especially some of the girls. They seem really high-pitched or unemotional. Tsukasa’s voice is no better, sometimes sounding like a girl and sometimes like a very young boy. The music is nothing great except for the beginning of the show because it just gets trapped in your head. I can pick that one out of a line up of songs as this theme making it one of the better Opening songs out there.

K-ON! (TV)
I do have one question, where is the music? I started watching this show because I thought there was going to be more music in it and I get tea and snack time? I know it’s really moe to see little girls eat but I mean… when the show is about creating a band, wouldn’t you have more music in it like BECK? The characters are really stereotyped and remind me a lot of how Lucky Star works out. Yui Hirasawa is the main character and unfortunately, not the brightest bulb in the bunch. She’s the main idea of moe, clumsy, bad at sports and school, very childish. Even her younger sister acts more like an older sister to her. Even threw all these faults, she is determined to be a good guitarist and singer. Mio is a shy girl who really doesn’t stand out to me at all, Tsumugi is pretty sweet and wealthy but somewhat dumb to the point of not even knowing that a shop was owned by her parents, and Ritsu is pretty much like Yui but forgets a lot of stuff. None of the characters stand out and made the show pretty boring. The art style is alright, though nothing really special. It just doesn’t call out to me. The opening and ending were the best part and not by much. All in all, it just doesn’t stand out as being the best. Alright… so there is a little bit of music but seriously not enough to call this a music anime. The music is alright if you like really high voiced j-pop but its nothing I would listen to over and over again. The voices are way too cutesy for my taste.

Piano (TV)
All in all, this show is very typical. A typical shy girl, a typical crush on a typical jock, a typical friend for the shy girl, a typical mom and dad with typical problems. The problem with a typical anime like this is that it’s boring to me. It wouldn’t be if it had any real drama but for how many I watched and the only real drama coming from losing a cat that was found about 2 seconds after it was lost, I just can’t get into it. I didn’t really feel anything for this show. It was only the second episode where we got any real drama started and even then, it was pretty short lived. Then we ended up getting a rather boring talk about boys with mother and daughter. It is hard to get into it, thinking it will be good since I don’t know OLM. The animation is slow, even though it was rather beautiful. I really don’t get how some of the girl’s hair stays the way It does. For all my whining about how boring the show is, visually, it wasn’t all bad. I’m not a fan of classical music much so the music wanted to make me fall asleep. It’s just slow and sad. The voices also didn’t stand out to me too.

Sailor and the 7 Ballz (U.S. OAV Parody)
WHAT THE CRAP? First off, this is poorly done and the storyline is a load of crap. It’s pretty much a way of getting the characters together to pretty much rape our childhood. I will never get this out of my mind I think sadly. Shoot me now… The characters don’t have any type of personality behind them except for being a 2D sex mock up. The animation is really bad, the characters do not look like the characters they are supposed to and I don’t think the makers of this even cared to know what the other shows were about. They just wanted to make a quick buck by creating something they thought would get a lot of fan people (mostly men) to by this crap. It’s all pretty much blocky moving characters and comedic relief style gags that aren’t funny. I think the funnier thing about this is someone actually made it! The voice acting is so freaking bad! This is like worse then the worst normal dub. It partly sounds like the damn Sims when they talk and there are so many bad sounds in this that I don’t know why I even let someone ask me to review this! The music sounds like a bad case of a game engine going off with little in the name of actual scores. Trust me guys… I don’t think you should watch it…
Worst ever
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie (TV)
Oh god… what did I get myself into was my first thought. This is one of those fan service lolita complex shows. The first episode actually through me off, not having any explanation of what the hell was going on. Just that Kazuto for some reason has a little girl with him and she has part of his soul. They never explain any fucken part of it and when she does transform, she has really really pointy nipples… I have to actually agree with Professor Otaku on this one and say what the hell I was even thinking trying to watch this crap. I could tell this wasn’t for me from the first show that this wasn’t for me. Watching this, I kept wondering if it was based on a dating sim because of all the girls in it, they always seemed to be stereotypical women of that. We got the Lolita, the childhood friend, the miko, the cat girl, the… the whatever you want really. And yet, it seems to try to be something that it never will be, a good put together show. I keep grasping at straws here trying to put more into this and I just can’t. The artwork is actually really well done but sadly, looks like every other freaken moe show out there. There really isn’t much I can say about it that I really haven’t said in other times. I would consider this artwork gouty and actually unappealing for the most part, bright childish colors and then a lot of fan service. Many of the characters seem like they would feel at home in some hentai rather then a normal ecchi show. Now, saying this, I do have to say that Kazuto is a bit of a cutey in anime standards but only just. The rest of the characters… the girls look really slutty and I rarely see men in here. The music is actually pretty good for the most part, and keeps the feeling of myths but the English voices are just… well, less to be expected. I really keep cringing at the voices and the women’s are the worst. Actually, scratch that… little Valkyrie is the worst of them all! Her and miss miko. It is just bothersome to me. And I just have to ask, how the hell did this get 4 seasons of it? (By the way, yes I am a girl so maybe that’s the reason why I don’t like it but really? To much clutter makes me want to get away from the anime.)
