| Berserk (TV 1997) | So-so | Overrated. ***SPOILERS*** Ending was basically a rape scene. Took the overused good-to-evil storyline, and, while it had potential, ended up being ho-hum. Star Wars, Warcraft, etc. have done it so much better. |

| Gurren Lagann (TV) | Very good | First half was great; I'd give it either "Excellent" or "Masterpiece" based on ANN's rating system. Second half completely ruined it. Ending was typical, story was predictable, battle scenes went too far and ended up being ho-hum, and the big explosion-thon was reminiscent of Gundam 00 Season 2 -- another anime where you should only watch the first half (or the first season, rather). |
