Dragon Ball: Episode of Bardock (special) Worst ever
Eden of the East (TV) Very good
Eden of the East: Air Communication (movie) Weak
Eden of the East: Paradise Lost (movie) Decent
Eden of the East: The King of Eden (movie) Decent
Escaflowne: The Movie Decent (dub & sub) The Escaflowne movie, an alternate retelling of the television series for a movie format has some interesting twists on the elements of the show, but is ultimately very simplistic in its writing and themes. The antagonist's goals are confusing, much of the cast is wasted, and the ending seems very anticlimactic. The production elements are all top notch and there are many amazing action sequences, but there's a lot to be desired, and while it's an okay little movie, it fails to live up to the Escaflowne standard.
Eureka Seven (TV) Decent One of the best mecha series in recent years, E7 is nevertheless plot-stalled and poorly paced. Still, a unique, well-intentioned production.
Excel Saga (TV) Good (dub & sub) Hilarious, ridiculous fun.
Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato (movie) Excellent Possibly the greatest space opera movie of all time.
Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture Awful
Final Yamato (movie) Excellent A strong conclusion to the Yamato saga.
(The) Five Star Stories (movie) Bad
FLCL (OAV) Excellent FLCL does more with six episodes than most programs with 26+. A fun and worthwhile watch.
Fullmetal Alchemist (TV) So-so (dub), Masterpiece (sub) A more enriched, layered variety of shonen, FMA is one of the highest quality titles of the decade, in both production values and storytelling. A large cast is balanced well, drama handled evenly, and despite some inappropriately timed comedy and adaptation missteps, it stands heads over most other titles of both its kind and not of its kind. Strong themes of brotherhood, abuse of power, and taking responsibility penetrate the surface, making this a more mature shonen experience. http://bit.ly/2o8ja88 http://bit.ly/2o87mTs
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV) Decent (dub), Masterpiece (sub) At least as good as the first FMA series, Arakawa's wonderfully detailed world and colorful characters have a chance to shine in a more outwardly action-packed, manga-faithful series with some excellent production values. It's a great series everyone should see, in tandem with the first series.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie - Conqueror of Shamballa So-so (dub), Very good (sub) Not an entirely satisfying conclusion to the Fullmetal Alchemist storyline, nor necessary, but pretty enjoyable nevertheless. It wraps up some of the loose ends and reuintes the brothers Elric in an interesting way. Even the dub voices seem to improve in this feature.
Galaxy Express 999 (movie) Very good
Gall Force - Eternal Story (movie) So-so
Ghost in the Shell (movie) Decent A decent effort by Mamoru Oshii, this adaptation of the classic cyberpunk manga is just a tad too wordy and not a little heavy-handed. I wouldn't say it's necessarily pretentious, but it just seems like the characters wax philosophic a tad too long and there are a lot of scenes which just drag out. A tighter narrative would have helped this movie a lot. Still, it does leave some interesting impressions and has some exciting action sequences, too.
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (movie) Not really good
