To follow up with the Masterpiece of Sousei no Aquarion, Aquarion Evol was somewhat not bad. The Animation as always was a masterpiece in detail but the character design could have been a lot better or at least they should have kept the one from before. The mecha designs were as always stunning by the great shoji kawamori but lacked that small details that made the previous by far better.
The story had its epic and cheesy moments. The base of the story was very good and to reveal some secrets from the previous chapter made it a lot better. Still when compared with the first one which had a very mature script makes Evol standout as a "lets do another season" feeling. Overall its a good Anime to watch and if you like the one before its will surely entertain you. Not to mention that the soundtrack was a masterpiece like last time, by the great Yoko Kanno. |

The idea after the big deal on BRS started from an illustration on Pixiv, and came this far to be made an Anime. Well we all have some rotten luck. Anyhow the Anime wasn't as spectacular as the illustrations Huke does that's for sure but I liked the voice acting and soundtrack. The animation felt like it was a sort of new style but maybe because I liked the original illustrations that I didn't like the animation. It lacked a lot detail, hell there was no detail at all plain shadows and sometimes the mouths didn't even appear. SUB |

I'd say the best animation ever that the Bleach manga ever had. Spectacular detail in animation (not comparable with the weekly episode), great soundtrack, story wasn't predictable and lame like the first ones, amazing voice acting (screaming Rukia was stunning) and last but not least the battles were powerful, fast and straight to the point, almost better than the one Kubo does which takes roughly 5 episodes to finish. I highly recommend this movie it is the Anime Movie of the Year 2009. |

It sure has to be praised being an Anime that isn't adapted from a manga, the character design is Clamp's so its something I like. The plot isn't amazing but not bad either though sometimes it takes an non understandable twist. Ending is really weird but its obviously a "to be continued" plot (with ratings like that who wouldn't). Voice acting side note. Really didn't like the Italian dub, lately (2010) they are making crappy dubbing and using the same voice actors for many Anime and I don't like that. The anticipated sequel, most of the characters took a radical upgrade, mostly Kallen which seems to have become a fan service character all the time. In my opinion they could have matured them in designs too, would've been interesting. But its really different compared with the first, no more school gags but brutal wars. -THIS REVIEW MAY CHANGE SINCE ITS STILL AN ONGOING ANIME- After a very long time this franchise is back. So far, the usual Digimon routine has been completely broken (Yes, no digievolutions but digicross aka fusion) but proven to still be decently good. The story is very much inspired after the first two series and if it won't get better it will harm the Franchise, why? The characters are very immature to target younger audience then usual, character design seems to have reverted back to first 4 series but feels like an imitation. New Digimon are also strange, Dorulumon looks like Tiger from Monster Rancher, Ballistamon looks like a cubed version of J.p's evolution from Digimon Frontier and Shoutmon is an original design but he doesn't evolve (Why!?) while the other Digimon have the same problems. Some are very cool originals and the others are old Digimon turned ugly (New Metal Greymon sucks). I had very high hopes for this new series, usually Digimon never fails both in plot and creative designs. But being a fan of all the others I think they made this one too commercial. The soundtrack isn't exactly what I think you'll hear in your head when you are at Ikebukuro (in Japan), it sounded like being in a French town or city. But the opening and ending themes were really great, animation was good (don't know why it reminded me of the game Persona) voice actors did a great job, and my opinion watch it in subs cause it doesn't make sense in English. I'm one of the hardcore fans of Eureka Seven but this movie destroyed completely what the Anime worked so much for.
The Animation was amazing, although there were many scenes taken from the Anime. The soundtrack wasn't bad but not the same level as the Anime one, the plot was a complete disaster; the characteristics of the characters were completely different, killing people for no reason at all, some conversations were repetitive and instead of a spin-off I would call it a recreation of the story. The 3 things I enjoyed most about this movie was Eureka having two hair styles we never saw, the pony tail in bed and the long hair at the end of the movie (didn't get the reason why she was naked), a decent line of model LFO figures (don't know why so freakin small) and the fact that after so many years of absence I know why Eureka Seven is an Anime unlike others, a lot of feelings, mature plot and one of my personal top 20 Anime, this movie? Crap.

So basically this is a summary of the Anime version, cutting out all those useless scenes of talking randomness or obviousness. Not a bad story considering it comes from an H-Game. I saw the previous Anime version and I thought this movie will have something new but no its just a sum up. That apart I really liked the Animation, character and background designs are good and overall the story is the real juice of this thing. At a point it gets so gory and blood splattering that its just insane, and sometimes certain twists are unexplained and I was about to loose complete interest if the story wasn't fast paced. Never thought that a Hentai game could be come a really good Anime since they get turned into hentai. (2011, review after last ep) Although it has deviated away from its ancestor stories I must admit, its really original with a rich plot full of twists and surprises. The maturity bar in 5D's really went up, considering it is a long running franchise (Unlike Pokemon). The Duel Monsters game was given a new look with the Duel Runners and like always it was respectively updated with the introduction of the Synchro Summons. Character designs were made by Takahasi himself, they couldn't be better (maybe a closet change of clothes? since Yusei has been wearing the same shirt since childhood). Characters mature with the story and the bonds between them are realistic and visible. The plot starts dry but it gets to a point were you forget this is an Anime and not a Movie (Especially when they steal Yusei's D-Wheeler and Deck). Soundtrack and Themes were great as all the other Yu-Gi-Oh before this. If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh fan you will for sure reject it at first but stick with it and you'll like it with further developments. If you're not a fan of the Franchise, don't bother with this Anime and start watching the first series or something else, although in my opinion you can like the plot even if never heard of Yu-Gi-Oh.
