| Hunter X Hunter (TV 1999) | Masterpiece | There are many shounen titles that can be considered action titles, but this one has the distinction of adding real adventure too. Several episodes I began with a smile on my face as I imagined where Gon might wander to next. |
| Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha (TV) | Very good | I know, I know, it is a magical girl series. But this is a magical girl series with a real edge, and the action is top notch. It will never win out as my favourite magical girl series, but it is the best one when it comes to both action and adventure. |
