| Glass Fleet (TV) | Very good | Yet to see the extra DVD episodes, but completed otherwise. At first animation irritated me. I think they spent too much effort on the glass ship and couldn't be bothered with the rest. You also have to fling everything you know about science out the window while watching. And my initial impression of the characters was of cardboard cut-outs with manufactured histories. Admittedly a couple remained that way. However once the story really got going, I forgot its flaws. The plot and characterisations feel similar to an opera, what with the factions, betrayal, insanity and (of course) seduction. It was strangely addictive. |
