This one I have to admit when I first saw the title I thought it was a hentai, so I stoutly avoided it for several months. When curiosity got the better of me and I finally did a little research I found this was not a hentai (to my surprise and relief, though it has an abundance of fan service) and was instantly interested in the story. The OVA’s are a continuation of the manga, which I watched first so was completely confused. After reading this short manga I’m still somewhat confused, but not nearly so. Congratulations to Akihiro Itou for good, solid artwork, coming up with a solid cast featuring mostly girls (with guns), rounding out the characters rather well, AND a humorous yet entertaining story. Really the only shortcoming of this series is the story’s a bit complex and is never fully explained, then it ends. It doesn’t really conclude, even in the OVA’s, it just ends. In conclusion good humor, good comedic timing, and good execution pretty much sums up this manga.
A Girl Who Runs Through Time (manga) Very good
Gunsmith Cats (manga) Masterpiece
This manga is excallent, it's got guns, cars, and plenty of action and explosions (and it's based in Chicago). But definantly NOT for younger readers! Sonada Kenichi's artwork is first rate! it's sharp and clean, and he manages to capture just the right angle for his drawings. With a complelling and continuing storyline, and (best of all) the re-release of this gem from Darkhorse Manga (along with the previously un-released Burst chapter) this is a great addition to anyone's library!
Gunsmith Cats Burst (manga) Excellent
All I have to say is 'FINALLY! Took Darkhorse long enough to release it.' The final chapter in the extraordinary saga. I think through the years Kenichi Sonoda's opinion of organized crime may have softened somewhat and I do not like Misty's ending at all, I think it was a kick in the teeth for the readers to end it like that for her, one of the regular characters and my favorite side character, but that is a trait of Sonoda's to end the story not entirely happily. Even with that, this is one of the most well writen and illistrated manga or anime series I've ever read or seen.

Hyper Dolls (manga) Good
A short but amusing manga, take Kei and Yuri from Dirty Pair, give them super strength instead of super gadgets, and make them defenders of Earth and you have Hyper Dolls!

No Need for Tenchi! (manga) Masterpiece
Continues where the OVA's left off. Just the right blend of action and comady with a splash of drama every now and then.
Onegai Teacher (manga) Excellent
Onegai Twins (manga) Very good
Outlanders (manga) Very good
Plastic Little (manga) Good
Ranma ½ (manga) Excellent
In my oppinion this format for Ranma is better then it's animated couterpart, the gags just seem to work out better on paper the on TV. Both are great though, and Happousai is still exceedingly anoying while on center stage.
S.S. ASTRO: Asashio Sogo Teachers' ROom (manga) Excellent
Saber Marionette J (manga) Good
This incarnation of Saber Marionette J is not nearly as good as the anime adaptation of it for a few reasons, some story inconsistencies and a few plot holes. However they did get Lynx name right, the anime translated it as Luchs. The first half of the series the anime sticks pretty close to, but at a faster pace, the second half goes in a completely different direction, so if you’ve seen the anime first this might surprise you. The story progression is a bit disjointed, the character development for everyone except the four main characters is a little flat, and all the marionettes except Cherry and Lime have Mega Boobs of Doom!!! (and Panther and Foust still have ridicules hair styles) The Artwork starts out a bit rough, but improves over the course of the series, overall a good read though.
Sakura Taisen (manga) Very good
Seven of Seven (manga) Good
Slayers Premium (manga) Very good
I'd wish they'd list the novels here too, this is good, but the novels are even better!
Slayers: Super-Explosive Demon Story (manga) Excellent
An adaptation of the TV series adaptation of the books…… sort of the wrong order, but oh well. To start with this is a ‘flipped’ manga, which means everything is on the wrong side, quite annoying if you ask me. Another irk of mine is all the mistranslations in this; Sylarg instead of Sairaag, La Tilt instead of Ra Tilt, Flare Garve instead of Gaav Flare, the list is quite lengthy. Being an adaptation of an adaptation you’d think CPM would be able to get names right at least, DO SOME RESEARCH!! Aside from that and some departures form the original storyline, this is more great slayers action and comedy.
Sunshine Sketch (manga) Very good

Will not finish Rating
+Anima (manga) Decent
This title looked interesting because it had anthropomorphic people (humans with animal features or animals with human features), but because of an uninteresting story combined with some yaoi overtones I will not be reading any more of this series.
Battle Club (manga) Decent
If you though Battle Vixens and Ikki Tousen was perverted, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! This manga is the apex of perverted without actually being a Hentai, with more big busted babes, more panty shots, more torn cloths, and more, um, “exposure”. This is just blatant. To counter this, it does have an interesting story and good art. But even with that, if you don’t like ecchi, you will not like this.
Battle Vixens (manga) Decent
With more panty shots then a Victoria Secrets catalog, this manga is borderline hentai! Though, because of comedy by overdose. This I’d rate far better then it’s animated counterpart Ikki Tousen, the art it good (albeit perverted), the stories not as dark and demented, some good puns and comedic timing, and Hakufu is not a complete airhead.
Et Cetera (manga) Decent
Another Manga that had potential that just didn't pan out. Still entertaining the majority of the time, but mixed with a very predictable story and some off color humor.
Foxy Lady (manga) Decent
For all the potential this series has, it barely squeaks by as passable. The basic plot line I like, this has the potential to be very amusing, but the humor that Ayun Tachibana delivers bounces between lighthearted comedy / romance and a perverted dark violent humor. Genuine funny moments intermixed with splattering blood, perverse characters, and some Yaoi thrown in for good measure (I almost threw the book away when I hit that chapter). The art isn’t top notch; some angles and expressions don’t come out quite right, but still pretty good for a first time published Manga-ka. Lastly, Tokyopop’s translation has some rough spots, get some more proof readers. I think the best way to describe this is a mixed bag.
Inuyasha (manga) Good
Another pretty good manga that is super long and I’ve already seen the anime adaptation of it, so I’ll probably never finish the manga.
Naruto (manga) Very good
Although this manga is good and it dosen't have sub-par fillers like it's TV counterpart, the anime follows the manga to the letter and I just have too many other manga to read and not enough money to buy it anyway (though that problem I don't think will ever go away)
Ninja Girls (manga) Decent
This story is fairly interesting and has some good humor, however this has some strong yaoi themes. Because the rest of the story is good I could almost ignore this, but I really don’t like yaoi, so I don’t think I’ll ever be finishing this.
