| Nijigahara Holograph (manga) Not completely sure what I think of this yet. This just might be the best Inio Asano book I've read to date, but it certainly requires some serious rereading before making such a conclusion. This is an intricately plotted, yet convoluted story. It's very real, yet grim; and it has a bleak outlook on life. Still, if one digs deeper there does seem to be a layer of hope enshrouded deep within the mystique of this bizarre manga. It's a bit difficult to follow as well, since the story doesn't really have a flow. It takes a stream-of-consciousness approach and is heavy on symbolism. All of these elements make this manga extremely difficult to comprehend in just one read. | |
