Fruits Basket (manga) Masterpiece I had to raise my rating on this one. It just gets better and better. I'm trying to work my way through the last four volumes in Japanese, because they're not out yet in English.
Hikaru no Go (manga) Very good I almost finished this in scanlation before it was licensed. I want to find out how it ended but it'll be a while...
Nodame Cantabile (manga) Very good This is a lot of fun. The characters play off each other very well.
Suppli (manga) This looks interesting--a mature romance storyline would be a nice change from the usual high-school fare.
Yotsuba&! (manga) Good By the creator of Azumanga Daioh, but the first couple volumes didn't really grab me in the same way.

Azumanga Daioh (manga) Excellent Not a lot new here if you've seen the TV series, but it's still hilarious and worth re-reading.
Kare Kano (manga) Excellent I hesitated on rating this--it almost deserves "masterpiece", but not quite. A really good read and worth having in your collection if you like shoujo.
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (manga) Masterpiece Amazingly good. Ten times the depth of the movie (understandably enough, considering the manga was 1/4 done when the movie was made). I like to call it "the Lord of the Rings of manga".
Read or Die (manga) Good This is a different story from the OVA and the TV series--it seems to happen in between the two. It's definitely a fun read but I found the art confusing--a lot of times it was hard to tell exactly what was going on in the paper fights.
