Anime Exhibit In Seattle

"Jump to Japan: Discovering Culture Through Popular Art" opens it's seventy city tour over the next four years. It will be at the Seattle Children's Museum January 24th through June 6th.
The Jump To Japan exhibit will be divided into three parts. Fantastic Animation well revolved around the feature animation of Hayao Miyazaki and his films from Studio Ghibli. This will include a Totoro Catbus for children to play in. Manga Mania will focus on the world of Japanese comics. Classes on how to draw manga will be held in conjunction with this. The third part will include woodblock printing and art scrolls, which were the pre-runner to modern day manga.
In conjunction with the exhibit, the Seattle Art Museum will be playing in its theater My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away.
