Sweet. Smile I had forgotten about this, but I'm still hopeful for something worth watching, so it's great to hear Funimation's already on board.

Oh so Blood-, let me know when you're popping open the champagne. I wouldn't mind a glass.

I think its also worth mentioning that they licensed more SGT Frog. Its strange that it got no mention in the article Confused

Anyways, I'll be getting Baka and Test on BD, and more SGT Frog. I have no interest in To, so I'll be passing on that.

I am certainly happy to hear about this, but I want to point out that it still isn't the type of licensing/release announcement that I've been looking for: i.e., a previously unreleased TV series for physical media release. It's been over 6 months since Funi has announced such a beast. However, as I said before, I'm happy to hear about this particular acquisition.

No surprise about To.

Any reason why the article doesn't say anything about FUNi getting more Sgt. Frog episodes?

I am also waiting for FUNImation's release of that along with Chaos;Head. They began streaming Chrome Shelled Regios sometime this winter, so we can expect them to release (most likely stream) both Rosario + Vampire and Chaos;Head sometime in Spring or Summer.

And if FUNImation plans to stream To then I'll be watching it, sounds like an interesting OAV, and won't take too much of my time.

I like the ship design in the illustration. As I'm something of a sci-fi fan I think I will be looking forward to this.

Never heard of To but it sounds like something I'd like so I'll be checking that out, hope they do stream it somewhere.

I read "science-fiction OVA" first and was all excited that maybe FUNi got Time of Eve. Oh well. Hope To will sell well for 'em. I didn't particularly enjoy it.

So I'm reading the plot of To here and I think there has to be a mistake somewhere. It takes 2 years onboard the ship while 15 years pass outside to reach the moon?? To get that level of time dilation you'd have to be moving at 98% the speed of light, and whatever distance you traveled would be 2 light years. The moon is about 1.3 light seconds from earth. What am I missing in the summary here? Is this ship bringing energy from another planet? In which case... huh? There are no other solar systems within 4.24 light years of earth. Is it coming from the farthest reaches of our Oort cloud? Because that would be the only area that first the specifics given, though what they'd find in scattered debris of icy comet-material would have to be explained.

Or am I being way too hard-sciencey for this series?

@vashfanatic, from my understanding of time and space, it's said that time in space is slower than it is on Earth. It probably meant 2 years on the ship (in space) = 15 years pass on Earth.

Quote:
Space travel is cruel since the travelers only age 2 years while the rest of humanity ages 15 in the process.
By "the rest of humanity", it probably means the people on Earth. I hope I help clear up what you wanted to know.

So no news on more D.Gray-man?
Shall we just write this one off as dropped?
