Really? That's a shocker, considering no one wanted to see it in theaters. Anyone know how Supernatural's been doing?

Why is it a shocker if people actually liked it enough to want to buy it on BluRay? Do you have any proof that people didn't want to watch it in theaters?[/sarcasm]

I saw it in 3D when it came out in the UK and I liked it enough to buy it on BluRay when it comes out here in the next few weeks.

I can say that at least the theatre cut was a horrible mess of blerg. I bet part of the reason people are buying it are the ones who saw the potential and are hoping the Directors cut (that wasn't chopped to hell and back) will actually be good. For me the potential I glimpsed wasn't enough to interest me.

Well the fact it bombed in the box office might be proof enough...

Guess they're making their budget back in home video! Laughing

Seems it's one of those films people don't want to see and pay for in theaters but are willing to give it a shot in their home video dens.

It opened #4. That's not exactly a "bomb", but it's also not really that good either. It sure as hell wasn't #1. And I still have yet to see it.

The number it opens at doesn't mean anything (though I'm sure movie companies would love to spin it if they could). You have to look at how much it made. It only made $29 Million in theaters. It cost $60 Million to make. Less than half. Pretty bomb-y.

Well, I guess the old adage is true: Fail on film, make bank on the tapes.
