Really glad to see Sailor Moon doing so well, but man how bad has Naruto fallen. It used to be this massive mainstream hit, and now its second week it's dropped down to number 5 behind Bleach.

It fell 4 spots, that's how far it went down but how badly the #5 spot sells isn't shown on this list.

I didn't doubt that Sailor Moon would top the charts^^ However, I am a little surprised that Sailor V came in so high! Well, I think most people ordered it WITH SM vol 1, I know I did (as well as xxxholic 17, so I guess I contributed to the top 3 too).

I think it's great that Kodansha's on this list with 4 titles, and that Sailor Moon takes the 1-2 spots. Don't look down on Naruto though, even if it falls in numbers, it's notorious for being in the top 10 for weeks where as some of these titles probably won't ever resurface on the top 10. Hopefully the next couple of weeks will still have Sailor Moon in the top 10.

Yes it is. Volume 16 came out in October 2010, I think right before the Del Ray/Kodansha switchover. Volume 18 comes out in December, and I won't be surprised if that, also, debuts high on the list then.

In another note, way to go for Sailor Moon. Then again, with how much love there is for the series and how many people I'm sure pre-ordered it, it's really not a surprise to see if up at #1 and #2.

Interesting that Ultimo is apparently selling well, as the people who bought Volume 1 on the Borders sale must have liked the series.

Great to see Sailor Moon is doing well!

Wow, Kodansha has four spots in the top ten. I hope Sailor Moon earns them bucket loads of cash. Maybe then they can afford to go back and continue some of those lower selling Del Rey titles, like Nodame Cantabile.

What, I want is Alive: The Final Evolution to start up again. And I thought Nodame cantabile was popular? I guess its just in Asia.

And I think Naruto is so low because this is the 'bromance' volume where Naruto confesses his undying love to Sasuke spoiler[ and he admits he wants to die with him. ]

Not many fanboys want that confession I don't think Anime hyper

I ll never Understand this chart
3 weeks ago naruto#47 on the list
2 weeks ago #48 on the list
and the new volume now only 1 week at 1
So there is not Logic Without Sales Number

And I don't like Op but Since Folder 53
Op became very Interesting Manga And deserves Better than That

And Why the hell Viz So Slow in Bleach Releasing ?
In 2010 Viz released 25 OP Folders But With Bleach
they still like -14 Volumes from Japan ????????

Wow, really good to see Sailor Moon and Sailor V up there. I'm so happy for Kodansha. They really deserve this. To those who thought that Sailor Moon wouldn't sell: Laughing

This here is proof that the series still have a lot of influence to fans even to this day.

Hopefully this success will mean a re - release of the TV series ( season 1,R,S & Super S ) with a proper english dub and possibly the release of Stars which i find it's reason of not releasing it to the US is STUPID TO THE CORE!!!!

looooooool What an Analysis
By The Way the #52 Was the best Naruto Folder in Japan Last Year
It Sold 1.194 in 3 month
While# 49 sold 1.211 in 10 months
And# 50 sold 1.200 in 8 months
So Please this ('bromance jd&turk stuff) 100%IS Not The Reason
And NY Charts is Really Confusing Because There is not Sales Numbers

Please tell me Birds of Prey #1 outsold Sailor Moon, otherwise I foresee Gail Simone having an ulcer.

Do we have exact numbers BTW?

It's one of the comics for the DC 52 relaunch, and the key bit is that the women are competent and they try to avoid things that are considered stereotypically girly at all costs.
