| First for me has to be action but the poll listed some really good other genre I also like Fantasy and horror with a little slice of life and to spice it up some romance. But the first thing I do reach for is the action |

Can someone explain what the "psychological" genre is? What makes it different from drama?

| I chose science fiction since that (and horror) were my favorite genres before I started watching anime and most of the early anime I got into was from those genres. One thing about anime though, I have watched and enjoyed shows from most all genres but the bulk of my collection is still science fiction. |

This is actually a pretty good question as i had to really take a moment to figure out just what i liked about anime which has given me some rather suprising result. Initially i was going straight for horror as i do really enjoy a horror anime but when i thought about it, considering all the animes i have in my collection, the majority are animes based around some fantasy, with a lot of different kinds of magic, and almost every single one of them is supernatural.
It's actually pretty obviouse now i've thought about it but there you go. |

Comedy. I love to laugh. Though it's kind of disappointing that most "comedy" anime nowadays are just moe series whose "humor" revolves around "Oh, she did something cute, that's funny, right?"
However, Nichijou is definitely a nice breath of fresh air! It feels like the good old days of Pani Poni Dash and Azumanga Daioh! |

| Psychological for me! Series like Monster, Paranoia Agent and Aoi Bungaku prove to me that there are some themes that anime can explore in depth, in ways a live action never could! |

| Never really put much thought into what's my favorite genre of any entertainment medium aside for video games. Don't really have a favorite genre--I just watch the show for what it is, and if I end up enjoying it, then great. |

| I picked sci-fi because that's what I lean towards in pretty much anything I watch, anime or not. But I also like thriller,horror, action, etc. I like most of them actually, so it was kinda hard to pick! |
