Wonder if CMX will edit these also?

That more than likely would be a no. Just because DC does it, doesn't mean everybody else will.

Er, CMX is DC, there is no everbody else in this. And I'd say it's actually a valid question though I'm sure it was actually ment as a snide remark.

Sorry, I didn't know that, but since I do know that now, they probably will.

They're listed as "MA" releases, so I'd speculate that they don't plan to edit them.

Then why did they choose to edit Tenjho Tenge if they aren't going to edit these?

Maybe because TenTen is more like XXX than MA. ^^;

I'm pretty happy that Young Magician finally got bought. I've been waiting for this series for a long time. =D

OK, let's say that's true, then why edit it down to T and not MA?

Well, it's a HARD MA at the very least... because there are scenes that can at least be considered softcore porn along with some other scenes that are just inappropriate for young teen eyes.

It's really just a piss poor marketing decision and I suspect eventually it's going to turn around and bite them in the ass.

...Okay, I know CMX totally raped Tenjou Tenge, but I don't think that's much of a reason to just assume they'll edit everything else they touch. Did they edit anything out of GALS? What about their other manga?

Honestly, I really want to pick up Jeanne in the future from them and the editing on Tenjou and their attitude about it makes me not want to. But it's not a good idea to have such feelings. Does anyone know what the status is on their calmer releases? I'd hope they didn't touch them, but who knows.

Their other releases seem fine... but the attitude reflected in their unwillingness to respond to the fans who did complain about the Ten Ten edits has made me decide that they don't really need my money.

Well, they technically don't need our money in the first place because they have monopolized most of the comic industry nationally and internationally. Plus, all this TenTen gung-ho, "let's keep it pure" can be a bad marketing in itself. As dirty as it is, to expand the audience to teens as well. Those who don't buy who want the original can't out beat those who don't know about it. After all, the extremists are the minority out of the majority who aren't well informed.

I don't plan on buying anything put out by CMX in response to what's going on with Ten Ten.

They still have a chance to turn this around, they would be wise to take it. I bet their are a lot of people like me who did not even know about the series until after this screaming about edits happened. I checked the series out after hearing about it, and I really liked what I saw, but I won't buy it edited, and I'll very likely stay away from everything that CMX touches until a solution is reached.

This isn't AOD, can you not use terms that define physical and psychological abuse on a high level for comics? THAAANKS

Not so much of a backseat mod thing, it's just really... really uncalled for

Probobly because they don't plan on trying to sell these titles to younger audiences like they did with TenTen.
Again, I've said this alot, but don't assume that just because CMX censored one title that they're planning to do the same for everything. DC has and continues to sell MANY mature products that are more graphic than TenTen, and I'm sure that they have no problem applying the same policy for manga. They probobly though that a younger audience would recieve TenTen better than an older one, so they decided to censor it. Good decision? No, but also not evidence that that's going to be their policy for all manga.

They wish. Check the sales charts where they routinely get their ass kicked by Marvel.
