I just checked my email after getting home from work and i was like wow i got an email about this contest I've never gotten an email from ANN titled this contest specificly before i thought maby i won, but i read it and it said thank you for entering but you didn't win. I was like what the! i never got an email before from ann when i entered a contest or drawing and didn't win before talk about getting a guy's hopes up.

Well, they did say that even those people who didn't win would still be notified, so I can't see what your gripe is.
Next thing I know you'll be complaining about getting a promotional E-mail from Bandai . . .

I think notification regardless of winning or losing is a great idea. It's been a while since I've entered an ANN contest, but I remember it used to be kind of a pain to determine if the contest had actually been held and what the results were. This notification no matter what is helpful.

What im saying they could have just made the subject of the email say sorry you didn't win so i didn't even have to open it.

About 1% of the entrants submitted bad email addresses. Mostly typos I would assume. Perhaps you were among them.
I'll post the winners on the contest page shortly.
