Moeka server?

Is skuld still the fast server? I ask because I haven't actually seen her in a while, or any of the other goddesses. In fact, at the moment I'm on moeka. Who's moeka? I've also seen ruka and kurisu pop up a lot lately. Have the goddesses been retired?

I haven't seen 'www.fast....' in quite a while either. Is this all normal or should I be concerned that something untoward is happening?

Just curious.

Looks like someone at ANN is a fan of Steins;Gate.

Good to see that there are more servers to use, unless the old ones were simply renamed.

I hadn't noticed the server change, but I was gonna ask about the new Makise "sorry" page since it's usually Nina in that role. Seems the two are connected.

We moved to new servers in a new Data Center a little while ago.

The new servers are Okabe (Database), Mayu (staff & subscriber webserver), Kurisu, Moeka & Ruka (Webservers)

A 6th server, Daru hasn't arrived yet. Daru will be used as a backup server to take over should any of the others fail.

The new webservers are significantly faster than the old ones (Bel, Peorth, Urd and Skuld), but the new database server is only slightly faster than the old one (Lind).

Bel, Peorth, Urd, Skuld, Lind and Hild are still online in our old data center, but we'll be taking them offline soon.

We're also planning on a backup location, but that won't happen for several months minimum. There's a possibility of Hild and Lind moving to the backup location.

I haven't seen Steins;Gate so I didn't catch the reference. Perhaps I should add it to the acquisition list.

The goddesses will be gone? Sigh, they are some of my favorite people. I hope the transition is gentle - they are goddesses, after all, and can be a bit touchy. Especially Urd and Skuld - they do like to blow things up.

I'm on 'fast' again, it's been awhile since that's happened.

Dan actually names the servers, so I can't comment on "wanting" a server named Daru.

I haven't even seen Stein's Gate yet. It's in my stack of anime to watch.

We do however want a backup server in case any of our hardware fails.

Figured this would be a decently relevant place to ask: You've changed severs and locations, but it still seems like load/ping times can be on the high side with 404s and such still occurring.

Is this a traffic issue or another server location problem?

404s will only happen if the page doesn't exist. That would have nothing to do with load, ping, network or anything of that nature,

Our CDN is generally very fast, but it seems to slow down for some people on occasion. We're looking into it.
