Glad to see Tama on the animal list he;s definently...an interesting pet to say the least. On the Takahashi poll though...how the heck did Happosai get more votes than Colonge?

Pen Pen should've been #1 out of sheer awesomeness. But I understand, since he was genetically altered.

The Iriomote Cat isn't a species by itself; it's a subspecies of the Leopard Cat. Though it has some genetic distinction, it's not enough to warrant its own species.

ha nice to see maya on the list, that was my overall favorite cat in azumangadaioh..then again...ahem nvm

My list would have:

Boota the pig-mole from Gurren Lagann

and in the No.1 slot

Elizabeth the ? - Katsura's pet in Gintama

There's a slight mispelling in Tama's paragraph:

If I could only choose one monkey for the list it would be Bubbles over Jugem Jugem.

Hey, what about Tsukimi's pet Clara the Jellyfish? Not only is she a weird pet, she inspires a plushy craze and an awesome dress design in Princess Jellyfish. She also combines the two mascot categories in the poll: she talks to Tsukimi in fantasy sequences and to the audience as an extra narrator when needed, but when she's depicted in "real life," she's just floating in her tank...jellying. (okay, so she doesn't make cute noises).

Jugem over Sadaharu from Gintama just isn't right.

Solid list, even without Aria-shachou and Botan.

Menchi from Excel Saga...oh no, she doesn't count since she's not really a pet; spoiler[she's the emergency food supply Smile

Hmm, no Rascal the Raccoon? Raccoons are very common now but when the anime came out raccoons did not exist in Japan, but because of the anime people imported them as pets and Japan now as a Raccoon problem.

I like Teto in Nausicaa. I'd like to have one as a pet someday, and name it Potato (It's nickname would be Teto for short).
