Oh, and apparently at Anime Boston I bought my first bootleg figure. Yay!

Well, on the plus side, I bought it for a friend who wanted it, so it's not going to be crapping up my collection, but I'm still annoyed that I let myself be fooled like that. In retrospect it's completely obvious that it's a bootleg, but sometimes when you see a ridiculously low price, you allow yourself to think that maybe you got an actual deal, instead of being screwed over.

Hmmm, I don't recall them writing Fate/Zero on the disc with a Sharpie in the actual release, but if you say it's legit, then it must be. I'll take two!

I just got Madoka Magica 2 as well. Completely forgotten that I cancelled my order because we moved. Added one of those LiSA's oath sign CD's to it. Gotta show my love ya know.

Kind of a slow week. I was hoping some of my preorders would be arriving any day now. Patience, I know...

Well, at least I did receive my JoJo's DX Vol. 9 set of Dio - both regular & Awakened versions from Big in Japan:
(More here, along with a really interesting detail I noticed.)

I'm still crossing my fingers that some manga will arrive next week.

(Also helping to fill the void was a box from YesAsia-- I was rendered helpless by these 3 amazing music videos (but primarily Big Bang's-- if this song doesn't get stuck in your head I don't know what to say to you and OMG TOP'S BLUE HAIR; and yes, Teen Top's dance practice is more interesting than the actual commercial MV because Niel's feet holy crap) and absolutely had to pony up for the albums: Big Bang's Alive, SHINee's Sherlock, and Teen Top's It's...

[See, Entertainment Industry, THIS is the kind of awesome packaging/extras you need to do to get people to not only buy your stuff (instead of illegally downloading the mp3s, which I admittedly also did while waiting) but even pay a few extra bucks for a physical copy. I can't download a steel case or a photobook or, in the case of the SHINee album, a slipcase containing individual photo booklets for each member of the group (most of which appear to be snapshots from the set of an adult video-- not at all complaining, just sayin'). So get on it already. Korea is way ahead of you at this.]

So I guess I had like 1000 points sitting in my CD Japan account from last year. Looked through the advertisement in my Gunbuster BD box and saw the manga. Ordered them both and basically just paid the shipping. Yay can't wait to try and read them lol.
