For those who are still curious...here is someone's unboxing video for the Italian Madoka Magica Vol.2 LE release.

Although going purely from positioning, it would seem that the Homura disk is going to be the BD and the Madoka disk is going to be the DVD. Personally, I would prefer it to be the other way around, although I couldn't say for certain that the disks will in fact be like that.

Based on the picture and comparing the logos and such to the other volumes' discs I'd say the Homura disc looks more like the DVD; look at the print/logos on the right. Looks like the DVD logo.

Damn, Kyouko got shafted (hurrhurr). Sad

I was setting my shelves up expecting Kyouko to be on the back of the 3rd box (I wanted her and Sayaka to both be visible next to one another). This is... disappointing. Oh well, I'll just have to switch it around such that Madoka and Homura are showing and are next to one another.

Man, I'm regretting not jumping on the chance to pre-order the Kyouko and Sayaka figures. *sigh* Kyouko and Madoka are my favorite characters but Kyouko and Sayaka are my favorite couple.

(Is it creepy for me to admit that I ship them? Yeah, I ship them.)

I remember watching the short commercials for Madoka before it aired, where they were just simple character images and voiceovers with that whimsical piano piece from the early episodes playing in the background. Kyoko didn't have a commercial for herself, nor was she in any of them, and the character images in those commercials seemed to be where the art for the limited editions came from. I wondered what they would use in place of her, but I also hoped in the back of my head that they would give us a standalone Kyoko image... It's a shame, but I guess they had to work with what was given to them. I remember the back image from the one page advertisements for the premiere of Madoka's final episodes, which is a lovely memory to keep, so at least there's that.

- Garden of sinners Will be rereleased on DVD this fall.
- Special announcement: Aniplex is detailing Bakemonogatari on BLU-RAY box set this fall.
- Second season of Fate/Zero to be released on Blu Ray 9-19-2012. Pre-orders begin June 1
- Oreimo will be rereleased by Aniplex on DVD this summer.
- Also being rereleased Baccano this summer. Back by popular demand!

- No word on prequel to Bakemonogatari.
- ANIPLEX cannot comment on Madoka Magica movies at this time.
- EJ promises Garden of Sinners WILL be cheaper as it won't be an import.
- No plans for a Blue Exorcist dub at this time.

It'd be a crime to not put Bakemonogatari on BD.

My brain tells me "Yes!", but wallet tells me "No!". Then again, your wallet is always next to your ass, and that thing always spouts shit, so what does it know?

Bake on BD this fall? *dies of happiness*

Um, that's assuming they aren't charging $3-billion dollars for it, of course.

I'll be picking up the Garden of Sinners on DVD, of course, but really regret it won't be on BD.
