I don't have any problem with my wife. She started collecting dolls at least a decade before I got into anime. Her collection far exceeds mine both in physical size and cost. She won't watch my anime, but that means I don't have to watch her live action stuff. Police procedurals, horror, science fiction and BBC stuff. She thinks my figures are cute, but has rolled her eyes at some of the more over endowed ones. I got to annex all of her dolls intended for the Japanese market. |

Alter's Panty just got delayed. It's only a one month delay (May to June), but I just thought it was funny considering the conversation on the last page. Delays don't bother me that much, at least not yet. This just means the $100+ I was going to spend on it this month get rolled over to next month; not a huge deal. |

Yeah, I could live with a one 1-month delay. It's when it goes several times that I lose patience. *IF* Hinako gets cut lose at the end of May, that will make her 5 months late. But since she's already been delayed 4 times I don't have a huge amount of confidence it's going to happen. When you add this is in to a whole bunch of figures that were delayed last year for me, it just kind of turns me off the whole industry. |

| @Blood-
You need to take the long view. If she comes out several months from now you will still want her, right?? If not you have plenty of time to cancel. It is not as though the delay has cost you anything except maybe an ulcer. What you need to do is keep a list of what you ordered to make sure you don't double order and then just forget about it. When an item ships you get a nice surprise. If it never shows, you are no worse than you are now. @TKoH RACS is now offering some Panty and Stocking figures. I assume you already have them, but I thought I'd mention it just in case. The shipping boxes say "handle with Love". |

| Oh, believe me, I am a compulsive list-maker. That's part of my frustration with delays ... I don't get the satisfaction of taking the item off my "upcoming" list. Yeah, I should take a more Zen attitude, but I just can't. Numerous delays take the fun out of it for me. Instead of looking forward to something, I'm left with the sour feeling of, "well, they've failed four times already so what are the odds it's actually going to happen this time?" If an original deadline is missed, I would prefer that retailers actually not post a new target date. I would be much happier if they simply said, "We are very sorry, but for reasons beyond our control, this item has been delayed. We will notify our customers when it comes in stock." I'd prefer that as opposed to setting new deadlines which then get missed several times. | |||

| No, no, the only time you check the list is if you have received something or you are about to order and are not sure if you ordered an item before.
Only when the paper for a specific order turns completely yellow do you pull it out and say "what was that, did I really want it?" |

| Oh, that wouldn't work for me. Especially now that I have so few items on pre-order. It is all too easy to mentally keep track of what I'm supposed to be getting and when.
I recently finished typing out a want list, broken down by company (thanks willag for that idea). I'll obsessively pour over the list even though I haven't actually ordered any of the items yet. |

| Just got the FREEing 1/4 Konata and Kagami figures and I have got to say it didn't really click how tall they were when I ordered them. It's one thing to know they're around a foot tall, but it's entirely another thing to see Kagami almost matching my 17" (4:5)monitor in height(the base is also far bigger(and more interesting) than the one in the pictures). I could probably fit one on my bookshelf(and Hiyori could probably go in it), but I'm definitely going to need some more places to put them before I get the rest of the set(though for now they look good on either side of my monitor). I am a bit puzzled, though, on my Tsukasa and Minami seem to be so hard to find. | |||

I was just browsing Hobby Search, and back on May 7th they restocked several of the Lucky Star Freeing figures. Minami looks to be sold out already, but it looks like they still have Tsukasa in stock. |

See, if you were a subscriber, you could have looked at my figure collection which contains all the FREEing 1/4 Lucky Star figures and you'd have seen how big they are in the Detolf cases I have them in |

Got my Kyoko and Sayaka figma today, and I was able to do the pose I wanted! YAY!
It's based on this shot from episode 5. It's not perfect (I could not figure out Kyoko's hands for the life of me), but considering they're just figma, I think it's as good as it'll get. Thus completes my PMMM Figma set. Now all I need is my Kyoko nendo and Banpresto prize figure, and I'm done. Wait, there's also these two other figures from Banpresto. Then there's the other, spoiler Madoka figure from GSC, which'll probably require a contract + a shit ton for shipping... |

| I'm not a fan of Figmas, but I can see the appeal in being able to do poses like that. And yeah, I've been waiting for that particular Madoka from GSC to come out. Maybe I can use that as a stopping point for awhile for figures. | |||

| I'm pleased to see another Yukiko scaled figure other than the Figuarts Zero one (which I don't like very much and is a store exclusive to boot) being released.
It was such a let down to be denied getting the Alter one back in 2008 and then hardly see any other figures for Persona 4. Hopefully with the recent anime I will get to see more figures of the cast. I especially want ones for Chie and Naoto. |

| I got Mami, Homura and Kyouko in yesterday(but didn't do anything with them until this morning, since I go to bed not too long after the mail arrives). Since I still have to wait for Sayeka(preordered her from Anime Island, only to find Ami Ami got some extras in stock I also just got in my Popura Nendo(the cursed figure that sparked my interest) today, discovering to my surprise that A) her ponytail has to be manually attached to the back of her head, B) her main body seems to be heavier than Mami with all her guns and C) Nendo 'faces' include the neck. My attempt to change Popura's was thwarted by the neck failing to come out with the default, so I ended up just installing her menu arm and putting her between the books I've finished and the ones I may never read(given they're all economics books, she ends up looking almost, but not quite, utterly out of place). |
