Oh God, Greg Ayres, seriously?!

He has the most grating voice on the planet. Seriously. I hate hearing him.

Darn, and I was looking forward to watching this show again in English.

I think Greg Ayres will do fine, I enjoyed his work in BECK.

Yeah, he's usually best cast in the side character roles, you know, where they're supposed to be annoying and unlikeable.

Funny enough I was just thinking that greg ayres would be a possible fit for Ganta...

I;m pretty sure he;ll be fine. Really disappointed Chuck Huber isn;t Tamaki. Would have been a perfect fit.

This anime was so bad. Why would they license this? It's like they took the worst parts of Eureka Seven and made it gorier.

Gotta love that the first few posts are all hate on either a VA or the show itself...this is why I love my fandom. Only not. Rolling Eyes

The cast looks pretty solid to me, outside of two names I just don't recognize at all. And the series description is eye-catching too, so I'm looking forward to getting to check this out.

It's not like we're hating Madoka. Deadman Wonderland is a third rate anime at best.

I think Greg Ayres will be a good fit for Ganta, and I think Aaron Dismuke is perfect for Yoh. Smile

I'll second the thought that Chuck Huber would be good as Tamaki, but I think Eric Vale will do a fine job.

Looking forward to hearing the English dub on Adult Swim!

It's so cute that you think your opinion is the only one that's right.

And that would be an 'opinion'. Not a fact.

And I'm not sure but I'm guessing you mean Puella Magi Madoka Magica or whatever it's called? I'd like to see that to give it it's fair chance, but overall I'd say the plot for Deadland sounds more engaging to me. Again - just an opinion. Much like your own.

The anime was a subpar adaptation of the manga, with terrible pacing and ending abruptly in the middle of an arc. It sold poorly so I doubt it will ever see a continuation, unless it somehow does well with Western audiences but that's still iffy because they didn't handle the adaptation as well as they could have.

I will admit I have not seen BECK, but I have heard excellent things about it, both sub and dub.

I've just seen him as side characters alot, and he's usually pretty obnoxious in those roles (DNAngel, Pretear, Ouran, etc.)

Hopefully he does well.

I wonder who will voice Nagi? He was my favorite character. Hopefully he gets a really good voice actor <3

Eh... I suppose Greg Ayers would be alright for Ganta, as rarely as I can stand his voice. And Monica Rial's shrill cutesy voice is probably what she'll use for Shiro.
The main voice I'm really interested in seeing dubbed is Hummingbird's.

Well, this is interesting. I could have sworn I saw this series dubbed. I can literally picture Greg's voice doing Ganta in my head.

Geez, it's pretty bad when I'm watching so much anime, I can't even recall if it were subbed or not.
Sad

Oh well. Not that this news matters to me. I didn't find the series good enough to add to my collection. Well, not until it hits the SAVE line, anyway.

Toodles, poodles.
