Over time, VA's are starting to have model-like appearances. Back in the 80's and 90's, they have sick voices but appearance wise....yeah. But now, some of them can be on cover of fashion magazines and no one can see them as professional VA's.

I used to imagine that unattractive people were most likely doing the voices behind cute anime characters.

But I see that is not the case. These ladies are quite beautiful.

Marina Inoue really deserves the first place. Anyway, Kikuko Inoue (known for voicing Belldandy, is doing pretty well at the 13th place. Is Mariana a relative of Kikuko?

I doubt it. For Marina, "Inoue" is apparently her stage name (according to Wiki). But "Inoue" is such a common JP last name. It's as common as a last name, "Johnson".

This is a pretty much good list. Though I think Kana Hanazawa and Minako Kotobuki deserves more votes.

it's pretty complicated. i think seiyuu today are not that different than seiyuu from back way back, just the marketing is different.

if anything, it's the idols today that have much lower standard than the 80s and 90s.

Most relevant poll ever!

Inoue is a worthy number one. I'd also rank Tanaka up there too.

Kanazawa takes the ultimate prize for pure KAWAII-ness though.

Kikuko Inoue should be higher up on the list, since she's 17, it's a shame that all these old hags are in the top 10 Laughing

Minori Chihara definitely deserves top 10. I'd rank her higher but only because I've met her up close during Anime Expo 2007. She's very beautiful in person. I also met Yui Horie during Anime Expo 2010 and although she is pretty, she wouldn't be in my top 10.

IMHO she is the prettiest seiyuu nowadays... and she isn't even in the poll... Evil or Very Mad
