Sorry, dude, I was waiting for the 6 month point before posting my YTD. My worksheet with all the relevant figures is on my office Mac, but I can tell you that you are about $20 ahead of me in overall spending (in real terms, you are more ahead of me than that since all my totals are in Cdn. dollars whereas yours are in USD which has been stronger than our dollar all year pretty much). However, it sounds like you are about to pull ahead of me in a much bigger way, and by all means, be my guest! |

Ahh, I should give you a pass. I should, but I won't. You Mac loving, commie supporting, terrorist loving, Canadian son of a...So, tell me, I have a DUI on my record, a felony in your country. Happened back in the year 2000. When can I drive back up there and have me some poutine? I've heard reports that after 10 years all is forgiven. I just wanna know when I can stop lying and come back to your great nation and have a heart attack there. |

Hey, don't pin the Mac thing on me; the office was using those infernal machines long before I showed up on the scene. As for the DUI thing ... not sure about it. I say you just come up here and see what happens.
...
Can you say, "full cavity search..." |

Month of May:
HMV JP: $894
Amiami: $261
Hobby Search: $70
I probably would have paid a little less if the exchange rate was like in the beginning of the May.
Blah. After my July pre-orders at HMV ship, I'll have to re-arrange how I order stuff to just make things a little more sane for my wallet. August already doesn't look too hot, but I think I can manage. |

May Spending:
Games:$140.01
Anime/Manga:$232.18
Figures:$247.11
Other:$451.99
Shipping:$140.38
Monthly Total:$1211.67
YTD Total:$7553.41
Some last minute purchases really killed my budget this month. Blegh.
Unfortunately, next month isn't looking any better with so many figures on pre-order currently "scheduled" to come out in July due to delays. |

warden13, a mere $7550+ in five whole months? Look, if you're not going to take this hobby seriously, maybe you should try to find something you can actually commit to? |

| I'm more curious as to what on earth you spent $450+ on, that's in the "other" category.... |

Yea, at, like, $90 per, dakimakura will really run up the tab. Although, if you look at the numbers, I have time believing that's the case. $250 of figures and $450 in "other", which we're assuming is some sort of import, but only $140 in shipping? That doesn't add up to me. I mean, $250 is about 3-5 figures depending on the size, and that's about 40-50 dollars eaten up in shipping right there. If I had to guess, it's con passes, domestic VNs, domestic merchandise, and/or subscriptions.

I had a light month in MaY:
Anime......$81.57
Book........$ 3.81
Total $85.38.
My total should have beeen higher but when I tried to pay for my figure from AmiAmi with my credit card it didn't work. I had to change my billing method back to PayPal, wait for a new email requesting payment, then made the payment in early June (133.12) which will make that month even worse (I have almost $100 in pre-orders and a $25 artbook which may decide to show up anytime).
Tear-to-date (through May 31): 1,049.25.
The year isn't even half over and already I'm over $1k. Sigh. |

Expensive month of May, but part of it was made up for by the fact that I also sold a bunch of non-anime-related stuff on Amazon, so I only went $15 over once that was subtracted.
Anime: $131.40
Manga: $5.90
Anime-related CDs: $66.82
Figures: $267.44
Total: $471.56 |

The Other category included one second-hand doujin dakimakura from Mandarake that cost me ~$260 dollars(only a 50% markup from the original price! ), 3 full-color manga magazines, 2 microfiber towels(I'm not quite sure what these are like and if they're worth it, but this is to evaluate such), 1 artbook, and 2 novels.
As far as shipping goes I only had 3 shipping charges. These are from Amiami, HMV Japan, and Mandarake. Percentage wise my shipping costs for May are actually fairly close to my total shipping costs for this year(11.59% and 11.69% respectively). |

Might as well do this now since my spending this month was only on pre-orders I made from months ago due to my tight budget:
Zakuro Premium Collection Box Set = $46.99
Lupin the 3rd: Complete First Series = $44.93
June Total: $91.92
YTD Total: $1056.93
I might buy a cheap title next month depending on what money I have on me. But unless I have steady income from a job, my spending on anime will still be very limited for now. |
