Probably something by Rumiko Takahashi Anime hyper

Most anime and manga doesn't run for that long though, 26 episodes seems to be a rather standard length for anime (that would be one completely season).

The longest manga, Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, is 145 volumes. It runs in Weekly Jump and has been doing so since the mid-seventies.

Hiyah!

Well, long-running manga/anime series there are, and at least I have some titles:

1-Meitantei Conan
2-Captain Tsubasa
3-Ranma 1/2

Not much, I know, but these series are just too long (however, I love series #2)

Sazae-san is the longest running anime that I know of, and has been airing since 1969. Its not the longest episode wise, but it has been on TV longer than any other anime as far as I know.

I think, if you break it down by total half-hours, Sazae-san also comes out on top over Doraemon.

One Piece is at 240+ episodes and counting. Not quite Detective Conan, but getting there.

Yeah, DBZ was fairly long, but unlike most the other series that have been mentioned, DBZ ended years ago. Shows like One Piece, Detective Conan (400+ episodes, with no end in sight), Naruto (160 episodes with no end in sight) are still going and will probably drawf Dragon Ball as a whole by the time they're over...
