Manglobes terrible movie character designs + No A-Tan? Yeah, this'll be a winner.

ngl as much as I enjoyed the movie I rather not see Manglobe handle the production for the new season.

The designs were ok but I rather see a true season 3 instead of something completely original and off from the manga. Did those 30+ eps of filler in season 1 teach anyone that it's a terrible idea to stray from the manga?

Crying or Very sad I just want to see the End of the World arc animated. There was a tease at the end of season 2 for it.

God, they really need to change the character designs. I love Hayate the Combat Butler, but the character designs from the movie were God awful.

The worst part of it is that this is an almost guaranteed bomb... Manglobe never makes anything that sells, people will bitch about the character designs and they refuse to animate one of, if not the, most popular arcs. And once it bombs, that might be it for animating this series.

I really need to read the manga.

One of these days. I guess. Maybe.

The Manglobe Curse!!! A shame, because Michiko to Hatchin and Mashiroiro Symphony were both excellent shows in their respective genres.

are they redoing it again? i mean i understand why the second season did it since the first season went off its own direction but why can't we just continue where season 2 left off.

haven't seen the movie so have no idea what the character designs were like.

I actually preferred the 2nd season, since I'm a big Hinagiku fan along with preferring RomComs to a pure comedy. I'm probably in the minority though

I guess to be fair in all this the manga's designs have changed since season 2 aired. Manglobe's match the current style the manga has. Though a bit more rounder / chibi-ish than the two other designs.

It's because season 2 covers Hina's main story arcs which is hit or miss. But it's important later on in the Golden week arc so it needs to be covered.

That was the problem with season 2 it was covering a part of the series that's gearing up to a major plot important arc. Which we never got since season 2 ended right before they would have moved on to it.
