this series has been running for some time tho in Shonen Magazine
so its not a new series, Yukimura just switched to Afternoon recently cause he (and I quote him) is a slow writer, and a monthly schedule works better for him

and I advice everyone to check it out
very, VERY promising title

I really loved Planetes, it's in my top 10 for sure. (Though the anime was actually slightly better IMHO.) Hope I can get my hands on this.

Geez! Awful lot of Afternoon in the news nowadays.

Not that that's a bad thing.

It's good to see that Yukimura is doing a "new" series after PLANETES. If it's as good as his previous work than I hope it comes to America soon.

Yukimura's Planetes was also serialised in Kodansha's Afternoon Magazine.

I'm pretty sure that Planetes ran in Morning, not Afternoon (http://www.kodanclub.com/cgi-local/comic.cgi?id=008-00125-01-001).

From what I've seen this one looks good. Sadly since i cant read japanese im stuck waiting for scanlations >.<

Although, finally the UK now has easy access to manga thanks to one of the largest book stores making a deal with several publishers, including Clamp and Tokyopop. It's awsome to be able to just walk into the store and pick up the volume i want hehehe
