| I personally think that Evangelion had a more straight-forward story (until things got weird in the end), but that RahXephon made more sense overall. I think that RahXephon also had more interesting characters. | |||

| If you want tragedy, you want Evangelion. | |||

About four years back we had a rather long thread about this exact topic. Opinions on the two series have not significantly shifted in the past four years, so I recommend checking that thread out, and if you have new questions then feel free to post anew in that thread. This is a separate thread-level matter, so I don't want to see it discussed further here or we'll risk bogging down this thread for several pages. |

| If you want sad/tragic anime, try tracking down some of Yoshiyuki Tomino's late 70s/early 80s titles such as Space Runaway Ideon or Aura Battler Dunbine. Both series have a pretty high body count. | |||

| hi
im trying to find some old anime from years back I've been looking for years with no success ill just ask regarding one for now. from what i can remember of the movie (im pretty sure it was a movie): i don't remeber the beginning, but a grup of people (they don't know each other) end up in a towm/city in the middle of a desert, they all stay in the same inn, and they each get a prediction of when they are going to die, from hours to days, this was done via a letter they each recieved. (i remember one character not saying when he was going to die ans he beat the prediction). the main character a young girl, i think she was a police officer, she used a magnum which eachtime she used it strained her wrist, while this girl was in her room a man came to here to show her howshe was going to die, she was on the bed with a wolf biting her or eating her, one and the same i suppose. the group try to escape the town via different methods but each time they get turned around and end up back in the same place, they decide to confront the person giving the predictions but the only way they could was to ourfit a tram turning it into a tank and fighring through the city to confront him. don't remember the end but i remember it being quite old looking possibly mid 80's - very early 90's any help would be appretiated sorry for any typos, its late and im in an awkward possition using a touch screen keyboard |

| @Vallarian,
I think the movie you're referring to is GoShogun: The Time Étranger (OAV). ANN encyclopaedia entry is here. Justin Sevakis did a "Buried Treasure" review here. I wrote about it here. Surrender Artist wrtote about it here. |

| Right Stuf apparently still has copies of this 2003 DVD release in stock. Cheap, too; may have to pick up one myself. . .
And although it's technically connected to a TV series, it's really a stand-alone piece. Being familiar with the source series (which has never, to my knowledge, been independently released in English) is not at all necessary, and it's even an utterly different style of production in every sense. |

| It's about agroup of friends who come back together years after the death of a childhood friend. They start seeing her ghost, a white haired blue-eyed girl. | |||

| Dear all, living here in the land of the morning calm, we have been watching a rather cute anime, and were wondering if there's information on it anywhere.
The English title, according to Google translate, is "Chance of Twins". The Korean is "쌍둥이 맑음". Thanks for all your help! |
