Was getting too crowded. I'm the type to jump ship rather than rocking the boat.

INFP is what I am, mediator. Fits me perfectly as well.

Introvert(67%) Sensing(1%) Thinking(75%) Perceiving(22)%

You have distinctive preference of Introversion over Extraversion (67%)
You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%)
You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (75%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (22%)

I am (still) the only ISTP in either poll.

We have more replies than on the community forum poll, which makes sense, but less than I'd hoped for. I suppose the prospect of completing a seventy-odd question survey instrument might not be attractive to some members.

Ah, but not anymore it seems; sometime since Tuesday evening, another ISFP quietly marked its presence.

As usual, I find myself wishing that we had more and better data. I'd especially like to know more about the genders of those responding to the poll. It's likely safe to assume that they're predominantly male, I'd guess that no more than eight or nine are female, but there might be something interest lurking there.

I'd especially like to know more about the other three INFJs; it supposed to be the rarest type, particularly among men, so four is potentially curious anomaly.

INTJ caught up again. It's like the roach you can't kill.

We need an INFP now to fill in the Introverts gap. Then once we do, LET OUR POWERS COMBINE.

"Our forum is in peril. Skeletor, the backbone of the forums, can no longer stand the trolls that are plaguing our forums. He sends 8 temp mod powers to 8 special representatives.

willag, from ISFP, with the power to remove vulgar, slanderous, hateful, or threatening messages."

That shit means nothing with such a small sample size. Plus, we're a niche community. I wouldn't be surprised if we're different from the norm.

SMALL SAMPLE SIZE!?! Just what's that supposed to mean, missy?!?

I delegate any elaboration on my statement to Blood-'s puerile imagination.

I don't think these things can ever be accurate, but it's a decent reference.

Amen to that. This is psychology's attempt to come up with astrology's signs. It is basically psudo-scientific nonsense. The veneer of respectibility makes it a potential problem if used inappropriately. I find it interesting that while it says it is not to be used for job selection many of the people who report taking the test before say it happened in connection with a job application.

It's always been this way anyway. Religion copied science and twisted plenty of facts and then science copied some of its genius back. Something that created billions of passive slaves is short of a genial thing. People who realize this also realize why religion is baseless whenever it denies science, thus the non-stop creation of non-believers as individuals get smarter.

It can help in some ways, like making the person open up about what they enjoy doing, which can be useful in the workplace if it's a friendly company. If it's just a company's fun activity it should be fine, but I can see it being abused. I'd be glad if my employer knew me better and let me bask in autonomy, but the cool thing nowadays is team work, like what they want is a herd of sheep doing nothing but mundane tasks with zero creativity on a daily basis. Which isn't too far off.

But that's a really good description, "science's astrology". Need to keep that in mind. Laughing

Wait are they saying that total introverts in the U.S. are 47-55%? Hmm...that's strange I've always read that it was much lower at about 25% in the U.S. I've always been curious how it breaks down in other nations.

It would be hard to tell if you could get a valid comparison for other countries. A lot of the questions are rather vague and would lose in translation. In addition some of the questions are sufficiently ethnocentric that they wouldn't match other cultures.
