I was about to buy this but then I saw one of the trailers and it was the old opening for season 2...

I guess they are labeling buy episode numbers?
I always considered episodes 1-51 as season one but I guess they broke it up?

anyway, I am only interested in the season that starts with opening 3.
that's the juice one with garuru's arc.

I think that North American distribution sometimes labels episode counts of 13 or 26 (take a few) as a "season" when in Japan they label them as 13 episode sets. It is confusing for me as well haha.

It is the same with D.Gray-man. In Japan the 103 episodes is considered 2 seasons yet for Funimation they split Season 1 (51 episodes) into 2 seasons. If Funi just so happens to get the rest of the show it would then be considered 4 seasons by their standards.

Just keep in mind that North America has a different view then Japan when it comes to Anime seasons.

Basically, Funimation's splitting things into single-cour sets(the standard for R1) and then labeling them "seasons" whether it's right or not. Sentai, by comparison, uses the term "collection" for their 13-episode releases of multicour seasons.
