Cute idea for a contest. I'm guessing since one of the prizes is the DVD set that it will be released within the next few months? Does anyone know when the release date for the DVDs (not the streaming) will be?

Wait a second has ROV already been solicited for December? I need to add it to my December TRSI order then.

And awesome contest, I doubt I'll win but its worth a shot. Going to pre-order the set anyways though. Smile

I pity the folks who will have to read through these entries. Especially my own. :\ Still, a fun "creative" contest that doesn't involve a drawing skill, so I can at least make an attempt.

Uh-oh, I submitted but I didn't title my Haiku's. Does that mean my haiku's will not count?

It will still count. I wasn't expecting anyone to title their haiku.

Screw pumpkin carving!
This is the contest I want!
Can't wait to buy this!

Note I'm not submitting this as a haiku, this is just for fun!

Damn. Another contest that requires skill or talent. The two banes of my life. Why can't we go back to the fill your name and address contests, those were up to my speed. Wink

^Awww, don't be sour
Writing poetry sucks hard
Except for haikus

Besides I never
seem to win the fill in name
contests anyway

Here I feel I have
A fighting chance to really
Win something awesome

Same here. And if it is coming out in December, I'm going to be very poor that month. With Steins Gate 2, Penguindrum AND boxing week sales, it is shaping up to be a big month for my anime buying.

No, not December
Right Stuf's website clearly says
"Coming out next year"

It will be streaming
On Viki come December
Try before you buy!

This is confusing because it's already streaming on Viki. The first episode streamed this Saturday.

If those Vicki headphones are the same Vicki headphones they gave away at the panel at NYCC, I laugh because you get higher quality headphones at a regular dollar store. Seriously, the thing fell apart while opening the box.

I'm still entering the contest though.

Dr Keene Donald said that not all short poems in the 5-7-5 on style were haiku, and even Dr Keene, who wrote 'Kōmō Oku no Hosomichi', does not fully understand what makes a piece of short text a haiku.
I wonder what the judges' idea on 'What makes a piece of short text a haiku' is like.

Key word there is "style", buddy. No one is here to argue the semantics or aesthetics of haiku.
