Scratch that and just buy the collection. It's super cheap on sale right now at Rightstuf.
Same only it failed because I wasn't expecting it early (Aniplex crap has always shipped on or after the street date thus far  ) and after having someone get my card number once before I only keep chump change in my checking account until it's time for bills or an order. Now I have to call them Monday when their offices are open and wait a few extra days for it, when it probably would have come right on time.

I went to NYC to meet up with a friend who came up from Pennsylvania to do some shopping. I had not intended to do any myself but I met him at Book-Off and wound up buying some used stuff.
Manga: Sanctuary Vol. 1 ($9.00) Sanctuary Vol. 8 ($10.50) Anime: Miyuki-chan in Wonderland ($6.00) My Dear Marie ($6.00) Sakura Wars TV Artbox + Vol. 1-6 ($20.00) Someday's Dreamers Artbox + Vol. 1-3 ($20.00) Spectral Force ($6.00) I now have found used copies of Vols. 1, 2 and 8 of Sanctuary, maybe there's hope I will eventually get it all. Vol. 1 is a bit yellowed which I guess is why it was a bit cheaper than Vol. 8 which has less pages. I wasn't really looking for Sakura Wars or Someday's Dreamers but seeing the artboxes looked to be in great shape I decided to pick them up. I never heard of Spectral Force so I decided to give it a shot (based on the ratings here it looks like it could be a stinkburger though). |

First trip to Mitsuwa's bookstore in about three years. Not going to complain, since I walked away with:
Glass Mask Volume 49 A Devil and Her Love Song Volume 11 Well, the Japanese versions, anyway. Yes, I'm collecting A Devil and Her Love Song in English anyway, but I love this series so much and already own three volumes in the series in Japanese, so it seemed only right to get the rest of the Japanese volumes as well. Glass Mask... Well, I have the feeling it'll never been licensed for an English release, so I'll pick up what I can when I can, just to say I have it. Even if I can't read it. XP |

I recently bought The Familiar of Zero, Geneon release, DVDs 1-3 with the artbox for $60 shipped. The disks and artbox are in near mint condition.

$1 manga at a bookstore, got Kare Kano 1-12 for $1 each! Now the problem seems to be 20....no need to rush, see how 1-12 go. I watched a bit of the anime and enjoyed it well enough.

Region 4 is mainly Mexico, the Caribbean South and Central America but also Australia and New Zealand and the rest of Oceania. I imagine for the purposes of anime, it's referring to an Australian import.

I also just got Bakemonogatari in the mail.
I also recently received the Creamy Mami - 1/7 - WF Summer 2010 - Goth Loli Ver. (Maitan) figure and Saki - Amae Koromo - 1/8 (Alter) figure, which is pretty much the cutest figure ever, possibly next to Doki Doki! Tama-tan, which I recently got the Toranoana limited color version figure of her because I cannot find the pink version as well as the first two Japanese manga volumes. |
