Cool, I'm wondering what we can expect from this movie considering the material is original and not based on the visual novel. I really hope it's not just some post-era slice of life milk session where we watch Okabe laugh maniacally for 30 minutes and Kurisu tries not to be too "tsundere" (in America). Well, only ~80 days until we find out.

For those who haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it. FUNimation did a great job with the cast (again) and it's better than the series, for those who don't want all the mumbo-jumbo to go with it.

The ending was slightly modified, and it's much better. Glad the writers fixed it.

Nope. An original story which takes place (possibly) after Episode 25.

I wonder who the new character is; perhaps someone from a different world/time line?

It'd be nice if it was after ep 25. I'd like to see more of the story between that ep and when you-know-who is born.

Now that you've come back and told us, isn't there a possibility that you have changed things, and they won't happen as you recall?

Been waiting for this one for a while. Wish I had... well, you know what I mean.

But alas. I shall have to wait some more.

Are you saying it is some form of retelling? I find it hard to believe they are able to retail the whole series in an hour and thirty minutes effectively. I'd be interested in knowing how you know the movie is going to be done as well as whatever source material you've seen in the past.
