Whenever I view this site I swear almost all of the punctuation is replaced with the names of Tsukihime characters.

For example, "Garzey(apostrophe)s Wing" shows up as "Garzey's Wing"

Hell, even when I was typing this, I noticed that if I put a colon or apostrophe it immediately got replaced with something like ; or '

What the heck is going on?

Checked the article; seems that your browser turns every apostrophe into "Aozaki Aoko" yet everything is fine on my end (Google Chrome 24.0.1312.56 on Windows XP Home SP3). Have you tried any other computer and/or browser? Note that the "Garzey's Wing" right under the Buries Garbage banner is normal on your browser.

And I noticed an icon between your Firefox and Skype icons that might have something to do with your problem. Confused

I can't replicate that on animenewsnetwork.com/buried-treasure/2007-09-20

It seems that the apostrophe is being replaced by "Aozaki Aoko," a recurring character in Type Moon titles.

Does it happen on any other page ?

Well its not the copy of Actress Again I have.

I just tried it on my Firefox IE addon (It lets me switch to an IE style interface system) and the problem's gone.

Maybe its just a Firefox problem?

But when you're in Firefox it happens on every page on ANN (and only on ANN) ?

Um, no expert, but I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the Actress Again installation. You likely had to tamper with the regional settings or AppLocale to get it working and it messed up character encoding. For example my "/"s sometimes turn into Yen signs. Never in web browsers though.

EDIT: On a side-note, this shows how awesome Aoko is.

No other site has this problem at all.

Well for everywhere else the keys work as they were intended and none of the other browsers or sites have this problem.

That doesn't sound like it would be the same issue - yours is because S-JIS replaced the backslash with the Yen sign(so it would only show up on programs that thought they were using ASCII; web standards dictate Unicode support, so a browser wouldn't be affected).

@MightyKombat: Try launching Firefox in safe mode. It sounds to me like you've got a naughty extension.

Just tried it, yeah I think an extension was misbehaving. I'll look into it.

It is a bit funny but it also irritating. Can we make it an optional filter?

hmm, now its gone. Tried it in safe Mode, no Tsukihime filter.

EDIT Just refreshed the page in normal and the error's back.

I believe this is entirely and magnificently relevant here:

Definitely something with your browser then.

Check Firefox extensions & plugins: about:addons.

Can't guess why it's only affecting ANN for you though, perhaps because we use UTF-8, although lots of sites use UTF-8.
