Just to throw in my two cents. Running my own anime database, the current method ANN is using appears to be best by excluding anything rated before the vintage date.

The only other solutions would be to:
    - Require an exact date for the vintage date, or
    - include a field in the database for "not yet aired or aired."

Either solution would require a lot more database management which would also result in upset users when their votes aren't counted.

The entries that get these preemptive votes are typically so popular that once they do air their weight on the overall score is so minute, none if an exact date is given, it's not worth worrying about.

No need database fields change.

Sorry i am just writing understandable, Not in programming language.

Solution is
if (vintage date > NOW) or (vintage date is not decided) then NO seen some / seen and NO some / all links
/*If these links don't appear no one can vote anymore*/
But be aware if it is some old anime that already released but no known vintage date.

Old votes on unaired anime... mmm... don't delete these votes.
If you delete these many problems may appear.

I think it doesn't need so much database management.

@baljaa1718 I'll try to explain this in a simple manner.

The system accepts votes prior to something airing, yes?
However, once we have the air date: any and all votes before it aired are not counted.

This is a feature to catch people making unacceptable ratings.

Sorry for posting in the old thread.

I see, I understand now. But unaired anime are not supposed to be TOP ANIME.

So i think you have to do some tweaks on ratings-anime.php only.
