J-List/JBOX is reporting that the JP School Days BD-Box includes EngSub. I have yet to seen additional confirmations from any other sites. If I find another confirmation source, I will post it in this thread.

Cripes, if that's true, it would be awful damn tempting for me, even at $250. I just don't see this title ever getting a R1 release. Unless I buy the JP box, of course. In which case the R1 license would be announced the next day, natch.

Stating the obvious here, but order it either from Amazon or HMV. I could have confirmed it, but I decided to delay my purchase of the boxset to some time later this year. |

My quick online search determined that Amazon.jp seems to be offering the best price at 15,384 Yen which my currency converter is currently putting at roughly $162 CAD. Definitely a more palatable price. Confirmation of eng subs might just push me over. I've never imported an actual anime TV series before (just one movie and one ONA so far) so it would be a first for me.

I used avex's web form for EngSub inquiry and got an email reply from avex. According to them, there are no English subtitles with this release.

Although I don't have much hope, I'd still like to confirm: There is no DVD version of Mononoke with English subs available anywhere, is there? Thank you.

This has been on Film 4 (UK) Today, they seem to be having a Studio Ghibli season this week, Spirited Away yesterday. I've recorded both of them on my PVR, not seen them yet. |

Bandai Visual has listed BD-Box 1 (1 of 3) with EngSub (July 26th; 16800yen). This series is Blu-ray only (DVD is for rental). Amazon Japan listings: BD-Box 1 EDIT: BD-Box 2 (9/25) and BD-Box 3 (10/25). Still 16800yen each. |
