I've watched the first few films. This news reminds me that I should finish the rest. I hope this isn't a reboot though. I would hate for Japan to follow Hollywood's example.

I liked the movies, though the guy they got to dub Rygart was kind of jarring. The story itself is pretty good, and Sigyn is a real hottie (though her outfit makes me think she's cosplaying Mrs. Claus). I *think* that the manga is getting close to finishing... or at any rate, I hope that the story will come to a more conclusive finish than it did in the OVAs.

I'm definitely looking forward to something new from this. The movies weren't too conclusive either so hopefully it's a sequel.

It was only getting ramped up and ended on a military cliffhanger between the two countries.

At least the battle with what I call the "giant shurikens on rubber bands" was concluded

There's no way they can adapt the rest of the story directly from the manga considering a few changes they made to the story, especially the last episode.

Wonder if it's going to be more films using the manga as a base or a complete redo (TV show perhaps?)

I'm super excited for this, i'm a big fan of this series. Hope its an OVA/movie series like its previous counter part. This time i kinda hope they go a little closer to the manga but more Broken Blade the better.

Considering that the first series made its own conclusion because the source material wasn't completed yet, I'm hoping that they really bring more of a conclusion to the love triangle this time around

It really don't think that they diverted far enough from the manga that continuing to adapt it wouldn't be possible. But they did divert far enough that continuing would require some clever writing to fix it. My guess is that they'll reboot it as a TV series, but we'll obviously have to wait and see.

I hope they don't restart it.

Maybe they can just ignore the terrible ending they made.
