This makes me very happy. I've really been enjoying the manga and had thought it would make a good anime series. Can't wait for more details on this.
I just hope they go for a 24/26 episode length at the very least. Cramming as many volumes worth of material as there is into 12/13 would just be too problematic. |

this worries me x_x i know some of my favorite scenes from the first 4 books will be done well. This from judging by the skill of handling Bleach for the first 13 books, but will it suffer from filler problems like it did?
i want it done right, like tsubasa (CLAMP) is being done. |

| Now if they draw the anime like the manga this will be awsome. |

i want it done right, like tsubasa (CLAMP) is being done. | According to the encyclopedia, there are only 8 volumes out in Japan. (Is that right?) If they choose to do a short run series in the 20ish range or an odd run like what's currently going on with Death Note (it's supposed to be 37) then the Claymore anime should be devoid of filler.
If they go for a long run, ala Bleach, then there will probably be some filler episodes, possibly arcs. Although, if you think about it, Claymore is a series that could easily absorb filler. There are a lot of blank spots in Clare and Raki's travels.
Plus, as filler goes, the Bleach filler is actually pretty darn good. I watched it sporadically while waiting for the dub to start airing. The animation quality dropped for a while but it's getting back up now and the writing is pretty good. (Filler always suffers because, by it's very nature, it can't advance the story-line without messing up what might be comeing up.)
Ultimately, what will really make or break the Claymore anime will be tone and faithfulness to the manga.
I hope it is as good as the manga. I want to buy it one day. (I always hear Hilary Haag's voice when I read the manga so you know my pick for the dub.) |

There's already a Claymore anime. It's called Utena. |

No it's not right. I just add some other infomation to it.
Actually there are already 11 volumes out.
The latest volume (Vol.11) will be out today. |

Do you mean Revolutionary Girl Utena?
That's totally a different stuff. |

The latest volume (Vol.11) will be out today. | I'd thought that number was off since there was no indication that serialization had halted. I got into the series after it started being released in english, so I haven't tried to learn much about how far it had gone in Japan. Great to know its still going strong. I love the art style of this series.
I'm half expecting to wake up and find out this announcement was just a dream. |

| Ohua: The fourth volume of Claymore basically recycles the same fights and girls from the show. |

| I'm surprised that there isn't one already...I only have volume 1, but it seems pretty good. |

I'm not sure I'm looking forward to this. The manga felt like Berserk Jr. Edition, with unimpressive art.
Ah well, I'm sure I'll have to watch it anyway! |

Personally I liked the art. Can't deny the Berserk Jr. comment though. Either way, I'm still looking foward to it. |

| Zac: Actually, story-wise, Claymore is closer to Hokuto No Ken than Berserk. But now someone's gonna reply, "That's the same thing!", when it's not. Same aesthetique, different context. |
