Now for how long would be the question of the day. But glad to see that it did it. Hasn't lost it's touch.

You might reconsider that comment after you see the second movie.

Does anyone know if this follows the manga, and if so what chapters does it cover?

It does from what I heard...but it has a completely different ending and one of the subplots of the Kira Vs. L arc has changed...but I don't wanna spoil it for anyone on the exact details.

Ya' know, I'd'a thought they'd come out with the first movie on DVD by now... I've checked Play-Asia.com and YesAsia, but to no avail. The closest thing I could find to the first movie's DVD was this. But, it has the Running Time as 45 minutes, which should be nearly impossible for the first movie... Perhaps someone has information on the R2 release of the first Death Note movie's DVD release?

BTW, the release date of December 21st has been confirmed for the first DVD of the DN anime and OST.

As for the news, it's exciting. I've heard a few things about how the second movie is different, so I'm interested to find out exactly what's the deal... but I have to watch the first movie first!!! Twisted Evil

What, the ost, already? I guess christmas comes a little earlier than expected O.o

as for the movie: I hope they won't change THAT much. The first movie was totally ok with the changes they made, but i hope they won't change something like...you know, the ending

Do I want to know why Flags Of Our Fathers is doing well in Japan?

Letters from Iwo Jima (in production) might be more favorable.

So what are they changing (without spoilers). Like endings, character conflicts, story development for a simpler, nicer easier conclusions.

From what I've read, I actually think I'll like the end of the movie better than how the manga played out. Shocked
