| This is by far one of the COOLEST THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN! Meaning I must own one. 1.4 pounds, I wonder how big it is, when it's fully transformed. | |||

| Soundwave!
This thing is awesome cool, but at 1.4 lbs, a little hefty. Still, it's only $110, I'm tempted to get one just for the novelty of it. -t |

That should be clarified in the article. Big Bad Toy Store (the source of this story) estimates its shipping weight is 1.4 pounds. That includes the packaging and the accessories in the box. An Apple iPod weighs more with all its packaging and accessories in the box (especially the oversized box in the early years) than by itself. We can estimate the physical dimensions of just the MP3 player by looking at the mini SD card slot in this link to the white version: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/ Edit: Correct link |

| Japans' coming out with some seriously cool toys these days (revoltech figures, 5 foot gundam, this, etc). Just imagine walking around with that and transforming it into robot mode "Look at my mp3 player, it can literally kick your ipod's ass!" | |||

| Speaking of Bay's film, anyone else remember spoilers from last summer that there'd be a Transformer iPod in the movie (along with an Xbox 360 & plasma tv)? Fiction becomes reality, I guess:

| Takara just announced a lot of odd, but still very cool, things at Tokyo Toy Forum 2007. On top of the Soundwave MP3 player and Optimus Prime iPod docking station there's also a Transformers Sports Label line featuring Optimus and Megatron Nike Free 7.0 sneakers.
(Edit) Oh, and the link to the Toy Forum above also talks about transforming Frenzy and Rumble working headphones. All of these are sure to be just the beginning. Emerje |

| Wonder if Hasbro will bring any of these to the world outside of Japan?
Soundwave is like a Working Real Gear Toy! |
