Isn't it Gyakuten Ippatsu-man?

Hi Mits,

I watched the opening theme of Gyakuten Ippatsu-man on youtube and it seems quite different from the one i watched.

Nevertheless, thank you very much!

Hmmm. OK. That was one title I could think of involving baseball themed weapons in mecha anime. Another title I remember is “Gaiking”. The main character of “Gaiking” was a pitcher of a professional baseball team. The main mecha also can throw fireball tracing the pilot’s throwing form.

Is it weird that I knew exactly what scene you were talking about before even clicking the link?

Anyways, It's Yae from Yozakura Quartet. That specific scene is from one of the Hoshi no Umi OVAs. Here's the whole scene.

I have been looking at purchasing the .hack//Quantum OVA on Blu-ray. I noticed that there are a lot of other .hack releases on DVD and Playstation. I was wondering if I needed to watch them in a specific order or is it worth watching the others? I am a completest and it is not worth me buying it if I need the DVDs and games if they are in fact related, as I hate having to buy DVDs.

Quantum is part of "Season 3" of the .hack franchise. It's also the only part of "Season 3" that we got.

"Season 1" includes (in Chronological order) AI Buster, SIGN, the original game quartet and the accompanying LIMINALITY OAV, and Legend of Twilight Bracelet.

"Season 2" includes ROOTS and the G.U. trilogy of games.

"Season 3" includes LINK (game), Quantum, Bullet (web novel), Beyond the World (BD movie that comes with VERSUS), VERSUS (game), and Thanatos Report (OAV in VERSUS), so far.

My friend who is better versed in .hack than me (I've only seen Season 1, ROOTS, Beyond the World (unsubbed), and parts of VERSUS) says that Quantum is enjoyable without knowledge of the others, but that there'll be a lot confusing without underlying knowledge of the overall story and the specifics.

Ah, cool. Thanks for the information. They all look very good, it's a shame they are not all on Blu-ray. I feel like I am going backwards when I buy DVDs now, especially when some are on BD. The only anime I have bought on DVD is Death Note
